at 420ish whp on my gtx2867r i have major, major traction issues on my crappy kumhos. i'm sure with better tires it would be more manageable, but 350lbft makes 3rd/4th gear rolling burnouts a reality.

personally the only thing i hate about going with a bigger turbo (which i intend to do, 3076r) is that i will lose the 'kick' that you get from the 2867. it's a pretty intense shove compared to the 30r and larger turbos, even though you're ultimately making more power with the bigger ones it doesn't always 'feel' that way.

I'm really surprised how well these engines are taking boost considering the high compression.

What about the BW7163? Guys saw pretty amazing results with that on the 2.5L STi motor. Not quite as big of numbers as the 3076R but close, it spooled quite a bit faster, and the response is quite a bit better. I'd love to see some results from it on this motor.

You could take a look at ptuning's s2000 kit to get an idea. The base kit uses a 3076r. 400-420 whp on 93 octane.

That's a dyno dynamics remember... Easy way to gain 10% lol. That's assuming they're in 'dynojet mode' which tends to read crazy high from what I've seen. Not saying it is, but looking at it I'd guess it might be. Either that or s2000's are beasts

EDIT: just read that s2000's come from the factory with forged internals... so uh yeah... they're beasts. and i kinda want one now.

From what I have seen yes the si and s2000 engines make much higher power numbers I'd speculate due to that 2nd big cam profile that comes online, higher flowing heads, and higher redline. (Though I don't think all or any Si engines have that 2nd cam profile I could be wrong.

Our low-mount S2000 turbo system is extremely efficient as is the F20xC engine in the S2000.

On a side note, to answer the question regarding dyno numbers..... ALL of the Dyno Dynamics numbers that we publish are uncorrected, true Dyno Dynamics numbers. There is no "X" or fudge factor in ANY of our published dyno numbers. An S2000 that made 430whp with a GT3076R on 13.5psi on 93 pump gas made 475whp on a local Dynojet. Our dyno typically reads about 10-12% lower than a Dynojet, 13-15% lower than a Dynopack, and 2-3% lower than a Mustang dyno.

I can say this without being biased as we produce turbo systems for both the S2000 and FR-S/BRZ..... the F20xC engine in the S2000 is the baddest 4-cylinder production engine in stock form on the planet when it comes to both VE and strength, period, EOS. S2000 engines have seen 700-800whp on a Dynojet unopened. The FA20 engine probably comes in second in terms of efficiency, but lower down the ladder in terms of strength (amongst 4 cylinder engines).

With this said though, you can probably hit 600whp on a Dynojet with a GTX3076R at around 20psi with E85 on an S2000. Assuming the FA20 engine could hold the power, the same numbers would probably be attainable around 25-27psi on the same turbo running E85 too.

What about if I buy one and let you tune it on Hondata? Would that help you?

Confirmed my mustang numbers with a local dynojet and Rev Work assessment of their dyno reading 20% low are pretty much on point. Map 3 which we calculated to be 499 whp dynjoet after adding 20%, yielded 496... That mans map4 was really close to 550 (iriginally calculated to be 552 after adding 20%).

439 whp run was @14 psi,
The 496 whp run is @ 17 psi..

No. I had initially dynoed 93 and did 320 at 10 psi, but there were a lot of things unfinished from cam timing to fast spool, but I rarely go on 93 so don't think I'll get it down to E10-15 to do a few runs.

Corn is a helluva drug...

How long have you been driving in the 400's on stock internals?
