i laugh at the people who try and "race" me on the road. they clearly don't know enough about the car or cars in general if they are pulling next to you in a 335I/M3, WRX, Evo, etc...

So, anyone else running e85 here in austin? I talked to a guy who has an evo running e85, he said that the HEB at parmer and 35 had high e content e85 while the valero at spicewood switches to a winter blend (although they state minimum e70)
I don't mind the drive to get gas, but am thinking about investing into an E content analyzer. Problem is I end up getting gas every weekend as I'm getting about 16 mpg, ~200miles a tank

The only thing that turned me away from e85 is the crappy gas mileage. The performance boost is nice, but 90% of my driving is to/from work. Not sure about blend either because so few stations carry e85 in Austin. |

Flex might be up your alley. I've even considered it at some point and they seem to respond really well with the content and the analyzers. Plus, no more worrying about what content is in the gas. Does it all for you! |

The only thing that really sucks would be driving any distance away from austin. Fortunately, any time I do, I just take the FJ. but if this were my only car it would be a problem. If you do happen to run out of e85 with no e85 gas in site, you can always run the tank dry, put 93, and remap. The key is to just drive pretty easy to let the fuel trims adjust. But that is a PITA if you have to do it often. The beauty of flex fuel exactly.

Does anyone know where to get some M12 x 1.25 nuts? I assume that's the size for our cars.. checked Home Depot and they didn't have any. The spacers my buddy gave me need the nuts for the FR-S.

I'll have to dig around my files and see if I still have the receipt for that purchase. I'll do that tomorrow after work, hopefully I remember.
