White has really poor coverage so I think you should expect more than 1 coat. 'General consensus' also says you should aim at about 5-6 coats to get full coverage, durability and peelability. Don't be tempted to spray it on heavier because you dont get full coverage with one coat. Wait for it to dry and spray another medium-heavy coat.

I apologize in advance, but you have zero taste in the aesthetics of cars. Maybe stick to building model cars and stop making those around you puke with your color blinded sense of style. Fuck.

Chazbo, I believe we really need a different scale here. Forget zero. We need to be going into the negatives in this case don't you think?

You asked openly on the board for opinions on doing something horrible to your car. Why did you ask if you didn't want the answer?

I give it 3 months before you hate it.

When I was 17 I thought black sparrows (like the tattoos) on the hood of my dark green civic si would look amazing... My best friend said "that sounds fucking retarded, don't do that", and I am really glad he did.

90% of DIY aesthetic mods look like absolute shit to anyone other than the owners, who tend to have a warped image of what their car looks like to the outside world.

OP: Hello people of the internet. What do you guys think of this?

General Consensus: That's ugly. Do not do it. It's for you own good.

OP: Well, fuck you all for me asking your opinions. You all don't know shit anyways.

black/orange is a good color combo.

white and orange is only a good combo in this configuration:

and the white color plays absolutely no part in the end product that makes this combo so good.

The problem with your approach is that you're just highlighting random pieces-- kind of like "It will be easy to mask this piece so I'll paint it a different color." You're not working with the design features of the car, or doing anything that has a unifying theme.

Have a look at these two cars:

See how, on the white car, the plasti-dip black follows and emphasizes the body contours? It works with the lines of the car.

Now look at the Hot Lava. The owner has added almost random bits of black to various places on the car, highlighting assorted bits that do nothing to unify anything.

By way of contrast:

Almost a mirror image of the white car above. Again, the raised central portion of the hood is emphasized. And the flat-black panels are evocative of the anti-glare panels on fighter aircraft. They flow with the lines of the car.

As far as highlighting the vents-- as depicted above, it's just disruptive. Extend it, following the contours of the car, and it's quite nice:

Does this help?

Some people have poor ability to put colors together. OP can do whatever he want's. Just think long and hard especially if you think you may sell it one day.

Now this is nice

This is more of the type of advice I was looking for. I do like the under window stripe. I saw a similar stripe on a aquamarine? Somewhere on the forums.
