Catless Front Pipe?

Hello,

I am planning to get a catless front pipe for my current exhaust. This will be my first catless front pipe that I will get for my exhaust. Currently have a Q300 catback. Looking for a bit more sound.

Are there any negatives that I should look out for? Is it legal to run a catless front pipe in ontario?? Any recommendations for a catless front pipe?

Thanks

It's technically illegal, but won't smell bad since there is still one cat and won't affect the cars computer as both sensors are before the cat you are removing.
The Invidia catless front pipe is well priced and will bolt up nicely to the Q300.
You will have noticeably more sound.
Go for it.

I'm wondering the same thing as well. Also have a Q300 but can't decide between the invidia/motiv catless or spend $50 more for the berk technology HFC with a cat. If I plan on keeping the car more than 7 years. Do you think I will pass the emissions test?

There's no sensors around the second cat, it won't affect an emissions test at all. The ECU only monitors the primary cat (in the header).

I have the Q300 and I got the Invidia Front Pipe catless. It was great and easy to install (Plus the sound is awesome). No negatives at all and it is legal since the main cats are in the header. I just passed the e-test with this setup no problem.

Technically you can't remove any emissions equipment at all, but you're dead right that it'll have no issues with passing a test.

Any drone and is it rapsy? How much louder did it get? I'm scared it might be louder than just the N1 cat back which is what I dont want LOL(no offense to n1 users, not a flashy kind of guy)

Anyone have the Berk HFC paired up with the Q300??

Nope, no drone or rasp! If you PM me your email, I can send you some videos! It got louder, but nothing that isn't too over the top. She is pretty quiet with regular driving and idle and she gets a nice tone when you lay on the gas. I enjoy the setup!

it will sound great i did somthing similar before my header i went with the invidia resonated front pipe, but if you put a header god it gets loud, my HFC was stupid loud with my header, but with oem header thats gonna sound great. it wont be loud at all, only when you really get on it, id say for someone who just wants a sporty exhaust and not a racey exhaust thats one of the better combos out there
