Who's got what? (Fi opinions)

Was just curious what most of Nor Cal was running FI wise. Part of me wants to say screw smog and go turbo, another part wants to take the safe route and go with a CARB pending SC system like JR or innovative? Opinions?

This is just a thread for nor calers to chat in so please don't come in flaming about doing my own research and searching as I've done plenty of research and know what to expect from each system

Both SC options you've listed are carb approved already.

I am currently turbod and the power/torque vs the innovate is incredible. I had an innovate kit before this. If I had to choose between superchargers I would go for the KW or JR kits. They are just more efficient than the twin screw and make more power easier. They have a higher ceiling than the twin screw too.

Innovate is the best sounding kit.

Also as far as comparing the kits, there really hasn't been an all things equal 3rd party test.

yeah like I said I've researched most kits and this was just to give me an idea on what people around here are running lol I'm considering going turbo just for the next 3-4 years since I don't have to smog then selling it and going CARB legal sc then. I have a friend in Chico that is a vendor for MAPerformance so he thinks he might be able to get a good deal on it. Looks like a well rounded kit to me, I definitely want meth injection no matter which route I take cause our gas sucks and I don't have e85 within 30 miles. But then again I'm only look for around 300-350hp which can be achieved with a SC from what I'm hearing.

I'm running the JR SC kit along with their Oil Cooler kit. Gotta say, I'm pretty happy with it. I installed them both in one shot over a weekend and still had time to take my son to the movies. :-)

There's a handful of people running turbos and another handful running superchargers that I know of. Get whichever suits your needs and driving style the best. Either will totally transform your car. If you have questions, ask away!
