So I press in the button to start logging (and defrosting!) and push the button again to stop logging.

The original RPM trigger logs great for me, but when I comment out that trigger with ";" and put in the defog trigger, it never works. I just get the logout file but no CSV log files.
It works on My config file

I had issues with it at first and ended up scrapping my txt file and using a new base file. I think my encoding got changed or something which caused problems with the OP2.

My suggestion is to start with this file and add/remove any parameters as needed.

Thanks for providing your file. I copied it down to my SD card without any edits and still was not able to trigger logging with the defog button. After that, I took your file and replaced the defog trigger with the old RPM trigger and it logged great. I guess it's just not meant to be. Thanks for trying!

@ AdrianG: You got it to work? DO you get the defogger column showing up in your logs? I'm having the same issue with the B01C.

Finally got a chance to test this out, but it doesn't want to give me any log files back. It will make the logcfg.out file.

Remove the "isvisible = 0" from the defogger definition.

Tried it no difference

That's weird, I always get a log file, Defogger always logs -can see it toggle 0/1 on switching but it won't act as a trigger , just continuously logs.

RPM trigger works though

In the older version of ecuflash, you needed to limit the number of characters that the parameter titles were using (i.e. not the number of param, but the title). Not sure if that's still and issue.

Steve - what version number is the new patch? PM me.

what do you guys think about using the cruise control button to log rather than the defogger? The timing out is kinda annoying, but then again I could just use the rpm trigger right?

That should work too, Merp uses it extensively in the patches for other Subaru roms. I'll see if I can find it - will need you guys to test addresses for me.
