I could see rates for this car going either way; being reasonably priced or being expensive. Subaru has a great reputation for safe cars. 200hp is not that much in this day and age, 2+2 should help, hopeful low hp and 0-60 times will keep certain demographics away.

However if a lot of younger drivers buy this car, I can see increased claims and rates for us (hopefully FRS side more than us).

I'm imagining the FRS owners will get the shaft worse than BRZ owners because of the Scion brands low demographic age. Suddenly that $24200 base price isn't as appealing huh? Lol

I just remembered that my rates are for yearly coverage lol. Since ppl are getting quoted like $1k+ for 6mo, I guess what Wawanesa told me for the WRX isn't so bad, right? (~$1600/yr)?

Depends on your age and driving record. Full coverage (collision, comprehensive, uninisured...etc) is ~$500/year on my '12 Impreza. I forgot what the WRX rate was when I got a quote but it was around 2x that.

Itll be full coverage, comp + collission, uninsured, etc. I'm 25 and was involved in a very minor rear-end collision last year (my fault). That's the only accident I've ever gotten, and never gotten any tickets. My mom is also insured for the highlander, so multicar "discount" is present. Watcha think? Should I call today and ask for quote on GC? think it'llbe close on price?

Geico. not the best coverage, but good enough. 25k/50k with $500 deductible.

i would be moving from ~$760/year to $1060/year.

i was paying about 100 for my 05 subaru impreza sti, 70 for my 2011 mercedes glk350, and 45 for 2010 corolla. all under full covereage (with premium covereage) with 500 deductible. And I'm 26 years old under statefarm.

The brz should cost somewhere between 60-90.

I'm hoping the premiums on my BRZ won't be any higher than what I pay on my '08 Mustang GT, which is around $40-45/month for full coverage, $500/1000 deductibles on comp and collision. My wife and I have it pretty nice I guess, we pay $150/month for our five cars, full coverage on the Mini, Mustang GT, Forester XT and Fusion, but no comp or collision on the Miata. If premiums on the BRZ are too high, I may consider getting rid of one or two of my current cars.

My WRX is $520/6 months with full coverage. I use it as a company car so I have to carry coverage higher than I usually would. I have a clean driving record.

That's okay, I'm just wondering, since I pay a hell of lot more cause I go full coverage on my car (not w/ Geico). Thanks.
