I dont think it will stiffen it but help with upshifts as that's what i have from the reviews here.

Also bought today motul 300 from nolimitmotorsport so I might do everything all at once even though it would be nice to do one mod at a time and see how it affects shifting.

I send stuff to my buddy in new south whales all the time. Let me know what you need. Also maybe if you need a few other folks.

Just ordered mine. Now I have to figure out how to install... I don't have a good work space at home and no jack stands.

i dont know about most of you, personally i never have much probelm upshifting. down shifting on the other hand i miss a shift or two from time to time if i tired to do it too fast.

does the spring also help with the downshift as well?

Just put mine in. Install was easier than I thought it would be. Took me about 20 minutes on a lift. Anyone else who has this have a ton of play while in gear (particularly side to side)?

I installed it and replaced it in less than a week because of this, and increase effort to shift sometimes.

Now rocking a Kartboy SS and it beats it out of the water by a landslide.

I still don't get the rave reviews of this...

I might get it if its someone that this is their first shifter upgrade, but I already have upgrade fluid, shifter support and weighted shiftknob.

Does the Kartboy have less side to side play? If not, I can totally understand why people love this shifter: shorter throw than virtually any other shifter on the market without reducing height. Also doesn't rattle at high rpm's, which seems to be a common complaint with the kartboy. Plus, nobody at any dealership will give you any trouble should you have tranny issues down the road.

But if the Kartboy has much less side to side play while in gear, I might have to return the TRD as well.

I have heard complaints from users of both TRD and KB about side-to-side play...it likely has to do with tolerance stacking in the driveline. FWIW, I have side-to-side play in my stock shifter assembly, both with and without any bushings directly related to the trans and shifter assemblies.

The KB doesn't rattle, that's the billet pro shop one.

I notice less side to side play, but not an incredible amount.

I could not get over the fact I now required more force to shift. That was my main complain with the TRD.

The Mtec springs are supposed to help with side to side play

And my TRD rattles. Just noticed it on my way to dinner. Guess it's back to stock. The throws are pretty short stock anyways

Really?!

Bummer. The TRD shifter was the only shifter I hadn't heard a rattle complaint about yet. I'm sure you checked already, but did you make sure everything was tightened to spec?

I might just get the rear shifter bushing + MTEC springs then.
