Holler if you're ever in Austin. I'm always game to snap some pics of 86 members' cars.

New to these parts as an FR-S owner and resident, but ...

I worked for GM for 6 years and then Toyota for 8.5 years in Michigan, but never did any work directly for Scion. It was all automatic transmission engineering stuff anyway, so not much interest on here, I suppose.

I've been autocrossing since 2012 and this will be my third vehicle in as many years to run (unless you count the one time I rented Godzilla). You can see some of my events if you go on YouTube and search for my user name. Unfortunately, the camera system I was using was the property of my former employer, so I won't have any new video for a while.

I also set up thread showing all my car plans, and what will be races and so on. You can find that here.

It was kind of funny on the way down to make the purchase agreement on the car today. A red twin (not sure which one) buzzed by me on I-35. Kind of Carma (pun intended).

Look forward to meeting some of you all around the Alamo City. Since I'm new to Texas and all. I plan on going to many autocrosses this year, so feel free to stop by and say hello if you can figure out which GTI is mine ... until the FR-S gets broken in.

Cheers,
Chris
Hi Chris,
We have an autocross with the Spokes club from Austin @ San Antonio Raceway on Sunday. You'll probably need to be there by 8am, maybe earlier if you have anything to change (tires or whatever) Its a $30 entry fee for (non members and members who do not preregister) Spokes.

The next race with the San Antonio club (SASCA) is May 18 @ Retama Park. Its a $25 entry fee for (non members and members who do not preregister) SASCA.
If you are interested in attending a larger event, there is a ProSolo in Mineral Wells, TX May 3-4, but you'd probably want to get there on the 2nd to practice and register, yadda yadda.

Welcome to San Antonio.

Just installed some TOMs and took a ride to Guadalupe the other day.
Welcome and Congratulations @zkahle. Nice shot! Love the TOM'S tails. Well, to answer your question (since no one else has yet!) - We often drive the “Twisted Sisters” out near Leakey TX from time to time. The twisties out there are a blast. Even with all the motorcycles this last time (there was a big convention in Bandera Mar. 29th and literally hundreds of cyclists descended on Leakey) - we had a great run. You definitely need to check it out with us next time!

As far as a group photo shoot goes - yeah, we ought to attempt one again! Any suggestion(s) for a nice scenic location? Anyone? Needs to be a place we can flash mob and not get kicked out of. Maybe a high spot nearby for camera placement.

I just signed up for the Spokes race this weekend. Now I have to find all my stuff in all these boxes.

I'd love to go to Mineral Wells, but that is the weekend my wife is flying down here permanently, so she wouldn't be up for that. We'll catch the next big one though. I'm hoping to be up to snuff for Nationals, but that is a BIG hope.

Thanks, and see you around!

I was originally planning on being at this autox, but my buddy had to go and have his bachelor party this coming weekend. It would have been great to meet you, but I am sure that will happen eventually anyway. Keep your eyes posted for the next Twisted Sisters run, whenever that will be. It is the kind of drive that our cars were intended for. Best of luck this weekend!

uQUOTE=Mallow;1575450]Almost every day I see a black FRS stock with Toyota emblems on Fredericksburg when I leave USAA... anyone on here?[/QUOTE]

I think you're talking about me!

Long time lurker in the general forum. Decided to check out the SA forum the other day and happened upon this comment. Knew that it was a sign that I needed to officially sign up.

I work in the Med Center and live near UTSA so I pass by USAA every day. Now that I think about it I see a whiteout with a spoiler leaving USAA headed towards Boerne quite often after work so if that's you then howdy!

As for my car, I just installed the diode dynamics fogs with yellow bulbs so keep an eye out for me lol

To everyone else here I'm happy to make it official now and would definitely be down to meet y'all and run the sisters together

Saw an Asphalt FR-S at the Lincoln Heights (San Antonio) HEB store about 6pm tonight. Anyone here?

No obvious mods.

Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself to y'all. Been driving a 10 series around the northeast side for about a month now, loving this car. Often cruise on 1604 and see a few 86s out there. There's also a silver fr-s and a brz that I see in the windcrest area pretty often. See you guys around!

Nice looking exhaust tips on your BRZ....I've never seen these in person as yet. Looking forward to checking them out!
