Great car, I'm a big fan of simplicity in mods. Question though, are the lower control arms necessary when lowering on coilovers? What do they do exactly?

Adjustable LCAs allow the excessive negative camber that's resulted from lowering the car to be dialed back for a proper, functional alignment of the rear suspension. They can be adjusted to shorten their overall length to essentially "pull" the bottom of the wheel/hub assembly back inward to the car. The Stance LCAs in particular have lower shock mounting points build in (see how they curve a little bit and aren't completely flat) to allow the rear suspension to sit naturally lower without further adjustment of the ride height collars on the coilovers, which would otherwise sacrifice shock travel.

What he said!

I personally need it for later when I go with a more aggressive setup.

I like the silver wheels on the Ignition color. Very clean looking IMO
