Got the windows tinted today, sooo excited

Went with 35% and I couldn't be happier. The factory tint is surprisingly darker than I thought.

The installer did not want to do the windshield strip. He wasn't comfortable with how it would've turned out.

I took his advice, the guy seemed amazingly knowledgeable.

Then went shopping and came outside to this:

All BRZ's flock together

Just a quick update, my tint seems to get lighter as it's getting darker out.

My installer made a comment on the windows before the install.. and said it looks like it's sort of a "transition" window.. like transition lenses.

I'm a full believer now. I'm used to tint looking crazy dark in cloudy weather, but mine almost got lighter. It looked really dark in direct sun light, and I'm used to the opposite.

Has anyone experienced similar?

I just got mine washed after the dust/rain storm left it absolutely filthy. Now all my interior leather shines

On phone I am. Therefore, if mistakes I make, Frank Oz blame you should.

Swapped out my tranny and diff oil with Motul Gear 300. Smoother shifts and more tail happy. Having Motul in the diff makes the car rotate easier under power.

Had a productive day. Changed the oil, installed Fumoto drain valve, installed center console arm rest (which should have been there from the factory IMHO), put the white incandescent lamps back in the clear side markers since one of the amber diodes was spazin out, pulled the front bumper off for shits and giggles.... now it's time for a cold one!

Don't see how this could be possible since auto glass blocks UV rays which is what causes the transition effect!

Hmm good point. Still seems like some kind of transition is happening

I mentioned the fix for the window roll down when you open the door.. and the tint guy said he'd rather not do it, even though I told him the Subaru window shuts fine with the window up.

He had a customer who removed the relay for his windows.. slammed the door.. and "BOOM!" shattered the glass.

I would cry
