I am suppose to arrive at LAX at 11:00 am on Thursday. Still waiting on confirmation and tickets.
I plan to rent a car to get around in.

also, its pretty neat that the 215 stipend would be in cash! im used to a long process when it comes to reimbursable expense so this is balling.

i rented a ford focus for the whole weekend pickup/return at LAX for 93 bucks. that's the best deal i managed. compared to when i rented the same car in seattle for 2 days for 120, i'm pumping

if anyone can pull a better deal please educate me for next time

I just received an email with my itinerary also. It has the flights I requested and shows my assigned seats.
It is all coming together now!

Finally got my travel arrangements. I even got the flight I was hoping for with no stops!

Just booked by car from Budget. Ford Fusion or similar. Was $140 with taxes, but I have a coupon for a free weekend day from SCCA, so it won't be too bad.

He emailed mine this morning too, Early bird flight, 534am leave, layover@ SFO, then arrive LAX 10am. Seeing others arriving later maybe we don't have much going on Thur? I only had a 6am departure option heading down oddly..

Also just got mine, arrive 11:55am. The hotel is only 20 miles from LAX so will take the taxi. 8:30 take off going back so have to get up early to grab a taxi. Hope they have some waiting for us.

Im booked and pretty excited to get the hell out of Phoenix. My Scion dealership isnt being very communicative, so Id rather talk it out with the big guys, see if they can prod my dealership.

Anyways, Ill arriving at LAX (which is kinda dumb, LGB is a few miles from the hotel) around noon on thursday. Since its up to us how to taxi about I may rent a car to see some friends in the LA area.
If any of you guys are miata enthusiasts as I am, there is a weekly Miata Meet in Industry late friday night (KINOD, if you have heard of it) that I plan on attending. If you wanna come along, let me know.
