What I am not looking forward is fellow BRZ owners driving like they have to prove SOMETHING. Driving like maniacs trying to reproduce what people have done with a car on race tracks on public roads injuring themselves and worse others in the process. And giving the car bad reputation, once there are enough of these on the road.
![]() I could care less what other people doing around me on the road as long as they are not trying to kill me. |

As someone with a worked Evo that pops, bangs, and spits out a flame here and there, people don't bother me often despite that, the bright blue paint, bright red brakes, big wing, and "that big radiator" in front.
Even in my Celica I didn't have many problems outside of the honda ppl, who were the majority of goofs I ran into. I don't think people are going to bother the 86 much, besides maybe-maybe GC drivers, or the older RSX drivers. While sporty looking, it doesn't scream look at me, and those in the know won't waste the gas in their gas to race either from a stop, roll, or in the turns. |

Oh, great, now you tell me!
![]() I find the advice to just wave and move on has always worked for me in this situation. If its at a light and I'm not in a particular hurry, I have been known to fake being ready to race, then let them haul off and just simply turn left or right depending what lane I'm in. I once got a guy pulled over for racing because I knew there was a cop behind the truck behind the guy that was trying to race me. He peeled off, I drive off normally and the cop pulled him over. I did resist giving him a thumbs up as I drove by. Only street drag I was ever involved in, I was a passenger. I was about 10, and my Uncle (who was 17) decided to race a buddy of his next to him at a light. They were both in 1968 pickups so not exactly a major drag race. They took off, my Uncle went to slam the 3 on the tree into second and broke the link pin for the shifter. It came right off in his hand. The look on his face was priceless! We still laugh about that every time we see each other.

I test drove a Camaro the other day (just to see everything else int he price range and kill time before the BRZ is out) and I made it about 1/4 mile before finding one of these guys. He tail gated me up an on ramp and on the highway for about a mile before finally giving up.
I hope I don't have to deal with that in the BRZ. |

I always want to blow those cars up that have that gay ass sign on them. Most of the time all that signs says is hey I'm a fucking terrible driver, I don't pay attention, I don't leave any room between me and the car in front of me, I drive too slowly and don't know how to use the accelerator pedal, I like to change lanes without looking (especially if there are nice cars next to me (RIP my beautiful Aston V8 Vantage
, was actually hit and totaled by a fucking minivan with that gay ass sticker)), I will turn into your lane in front of you without warning and go 20mph for the next 1/4 mile, and I want you to know I am propagating my ignorance and stupidity and I'm proud of it. In short, if you feel like it is apropriate to let the world know of your baby passengers in order to ensure safety you aren't a very good driver and should not be on the road i the first place.

This thought has crossed my mind nearly every time I imagine myself driving around where I live.
I live in a suburb of Buffalo, NY. We have more than our fair share of rich kids in their brand new civic si' or mustang GTs. Along with an even greater number of poor kids in the city that drive their beater buicks like a boss. Driving here really sucks sometimes. |

The trick is to brake check them, and if they get mad and tailgate harder I brake check a few more times then slow down to 5 below.

The bad thing is she can get the ticket if a collision occurs from it. A buddy of mine was at fault for an accident resulting from a brake check. You have to make all reasonable attempts to avoid an accident and slamming on the brakes for no reason except to try to get some a$$hole to increase his following distance is not "reasonable".
