if you're tuning closed-loop MAF on a dyno, that's your problem not the hardware . it can be done on a load dyno, but that would be a colossal waste of money. closed-loop MAF tuning is best done on the street, since street time is free and the key to getting it right is lots of data, and lots of data takes lots of time to collect. also IAT's on the dyno can skew MAF readings considerably compared to what you'll actually see out driving, basically invalidating any data collected while stationary.

i agree though it's a perfectly serviceable design, you just need to get the MAF properly dialed in closed-loop on the street before going to the dyno. this is true of any aftermarket MAF setup, though. on average i'd say it takes me about an hour to dial in this particular MAF design to <3% fueling error in closed loop (starting from my base which gets me within 5% usually). developing that base probably took 3-4 hours. in open loop i only use SD, so i can't speak to that.

I picked up a prodrive boost solenoid this week. Any guidance on how the electrical connections are typically made? Would also be interested in mounting locations used by others.

You can't put an exact number on it. Every dyno will read different amongst other things, so when one person says theirs isn't slipping at 240 lb-ft on dyno A during weather X, but another says theirs is slipping at 230 lb-ft but they are on dyno B during weather Y..
