Thanks for the Info this made my day. I'm glad to know it will have blutooth connectivity and an aux port. My music is essential for all the joy rides I plan on going on.

Correct. If you want the lights on when you take the keys out you need to move the dial from auto to ON.

Auto headlights are a nice feature. You leave them on auto and never have to think about them again. I have never had them before, but driven several cars that do and they are convenient especially when going through tunnels, but certainly not a big deal for those that aren't accustomed to having them. For those that are used to them, I suppose you will be one of the morons or drunks that I see driving around at 10pm without headlights on....

If it's like the tC, the lights will turn off when you open the driver's door.

As for the DRLs, they are most likely the high beams in a low-power setting, so disabling them may be a little tricky.

I have them in my Audi currently, and you're right, it's nice to never have to think about your lights again. I'm glad the BRZ comes with LED DRL's like my Audi does. Plain 'ol halogen DRL's from high beams aren't pleasant to look at.

I have automatic lights on my 1999 hyundai elantra. If that car has them, there is absolutely zero reason why any car doesn't.

I hated it when DRL became mandatory in Ontario, but at least it mitigates this problem, a car is always lit up from the front at night no matter how drunk the driver....

So far, half the time I forget to shut off the headlights during the day, unless I happen to look at the Impreza's darkened center display. Depending how much the digital speedometer dims, the lights being on during the day may be more readily-apparent in the FR-S.

Probably the main reason manufacturers go to the trouble of making two designs is to try to justify higher profit model lines. While the FR-S is the Scion "flagship", Subaru hasn't announced prices to show if they slot it as the base US car. Personally I still expect a higher dealer cost on the BRZ Premium, regardless of all the around $25k MSRP claims.

This is variable valve timing, not lift. So it doesn't "kick in," it's working all the time.

They just released the official standard features on the Scion website. Still disappointed with the halogen headlights...but whatever. Looks like they are slowly starting to officially reveal more and more information about it. About time!!
