For those of you who hate the torque dip

I'm sure that this will solve the problem and maybe guarantee your win on a drag race.

Dont have the car but I want in...

I hate how wanting more power out the box makes me a crappy driver that doesn't care about corners.

I hate how Toyota/Subaru come up with a new excuse each year to ignore the cars weakest link (POWAH)

I hate how when I buy the car, I have to void my warranty to fix something it should've started with.

I hate that someone will inevitably respond to this and say "If you can't go fast with 90hp, 900hp won't help you".

Honestly I just wanted to vent. I haven't been keeping up with the 86 news for months so when I first heard there were going to be changes, I foolishly got my hopes up by thinking they would touch the engine.

I feel like the title of this thread indicates it is for OWNERS ONLY. Kinda hard to evaluate something you don't have.

Nothing I absolutely hate, just minor annoyances so far, probably repeating many issues said before..
  1. passenger window squeaks sometimes when going up or down (OK, doesn't sound like anything is physically damaged)
  2. sometimes I need to hit the lock/unlock button twice or more before it'll do something (a little concerning but it works 80% of the time. maybe I'm not hitting it hard enough)
  3. the stock head unit (2013 FR-S 10 series) sometimes registers me touching a different preset to change the radio station -- lights up and beeps, but doesn't actually switch. (annoying but tolerable. HU is replaceable anyway.)
  4. slight plastic vibration from somewhere near the driver's door controls when playing bassy music (annoying but tolerable... it's a door with a speaker in it, it will vibrate)
  5. rear license plate vibrates against the metal/paint rather loudly when I close the trunk (probably fixable with some additional foam tape)
  6. the sun visor doesn't stay put at certain angles where I need it. specifically at about 15 degrees from the windshield (doesn't bother me too much but worth noting)

Very nitpicky stuff...

I hat that stupid antenna, and the only other alternative is a stupid shark fin. Someone did a DIY low profile GT antenna, but that is DIY, ain't got time fo' dat.

Perrin, CravenSpeed, and a few others make 4" and 2" antennas. I got a CravenSpeed 2" antenna off Amazon for $25.

whats wrong with the oem antenna? it looks fine to me its better than on some of the newer cars where the antenna is located on the rear quarter panel or trunk at least this way its asymmetrically pleasing to the eyes and its a more aerodynamic location
