yokohama yk580

anyone have any experience with these tires? i'm trying to find a tire that best matches the michelin primacy HPs that come stock on our cars on a 18 inch wheel. they have a 45k warranty and are Low Rolling Resistance. All i've found are youtube videos of Discount tire/America's tire talking about this rubber, but no comparisons.

anyone have any feed back on these?

I have these tires on my '98 BMW M Roadster and on my wife's '10 Subi Outback Sport. Nice tires, I like them.

Tried them. Had them swapped the following week for AS3's. They destroyed the quickness in the steering, and were spooky at the limits of grip. Almost wiggled thru a high speed turn.

Did they feel or handle similarly to the primacy HPs?

Not at all similar. I kind of liked the primacy HPs. I thought the feed back was fine with the HPs, not good grip but feed back was fine.
The YK580 is like going back to wearing condoms, and that's exactly what I told the tire store manager. Feel just isn't there. If you think the handling is twitchy with the HPs then you might like the YK's.
I went with Michelin AS3's, love them. Tons of feed back, very good grip in dry, amazing in wet, and work OK in snow.

I like the primacy HPs, and have never had an issue with them, I'm looking for a tire that has the same handling properties in a 18 inch size

It's much harder to provoke a drift on dry or wet with AS3's. Handling quickness feels the same to me as HP's. I assume they're available in 18", although they weren't cheap in 17", so be prepared. If you don't need a little snow ability there are probably many other options. I will be buying AS3's again when these wear out.

You might want to consider the Nitto Motivo. 60k mile warranty and decent performance. https://www.nittotire.com/Tire/Street/motivo.
