To anyone who has bought a Scion in Canada

I understand how there is a lot of cynicism on this board when it comes to dealerships and service depts, I think rule number one is always : never get into a shit-tossing contest on the internet !

it seems to be an open wound for several here and all I can do as a brand manager is work as hard as I can to keep everyone happy in my customer base ! We are evaluated pretty hardcore by a CSi system from sales to service, it's very important for our relationship with the manufacturer and clientele

I know ... I mean believe me, with the amount of group buys and accessory stores (all the way to carbon fiber manufacturers) badgering me daily to give them this info ... Scion has been so dramatically mum about this it's been a tough few months.

I have a feeling from speaking to Regional managers and some Scion brass that we're going to be about 1500$ more than in the states IMHO around 25 995$ or 25 495$ CDN in best case scenarios

What I can't wait to find out in all honesty is the packaging groups on the Scion vs the Subie the Scion will be mono-spec, but what does the Canadian issue lose/add, I can tell you base Corolla LE(s) in the states don't come with heated seats and a sunroof like they do in Canada, Canada still gets a 26 000$ Corolla XRS, the US doesn't

What's our format going to be like is what I want to know.

I read this forum for 1 year now, this is my first post, the FRS would be for me a great replacement for my my actual car, an old 99 solara with a full sport suspension(i do some lapping during the summer), I did go to your place a few week ago(work just in the building(gold window) on the other side of the 40.
Being a owner of toyota for the last 17 years, the experience was... hmmm.. not really good, dont get me wrong, the place is nice but the 2 saleman I met did not even know that scion had put a preorder page on there website + when i ask them to go look at the website they did not know it was scion.ca now that was funny.
In anyway what really piss me off is when he ask me 1500$ deposit just to put my name on a paper list, i could understand a deposit for a real preorder in the system but to put my name on a paper list!!!!!
I really felt like they were thinking a was 18 years old guy that had never buy a car in its life, they follow with the "mombojombo" of being rare and i had to the deposit right now ...

To say not good first experience with scion!!

Not to say I don't believe you as this sounds absolutely preposterous, but I've had to deal with employees from other dealers bad mouthing us before through the Facebook page to create insecurity with our customer base, I'm PM'ing you now to help !

They are nice in the dead of winter if you park your car outside

but only for the first 2-3 minutes, then it doesn't matter.

In general though, freezing your kidneys is never good, esp given that drivers tend to dress lightly during the monday-friday commute.
