Yes.. Sorry, I strongly recommend lifting the seats by removing the bolts for the rail with a torx E10
And yes all that material tucks under the seat

Ok cool, I'm excited to see how they turn out. I have been debating between these and the Clazzio's.

Those are nice (Can't say I like the color scheme) I would get those covers. Otherwise re-upholster is what I would go with, along with a diamond pattern for the headliner as well. I just feel the seats in the Scion will wear down soon (especially the driver side) the material seems pretty cheap to me. |

Better late than never, eh guys? Here are my pictures during and after installation:
Out of the Box: I had to get under the seat and remove an elastic band that holds the cloth flap from the upper seat, and connects it to the lower seat. Took me a little while to worm it out and I had to use my cell phones camera in video capture mode, sliding it under and around the seat to see how the bar was holding the band in place. Its fairly simple once you figure it out and was, to me, the hardest part of the whole process, which is to say it was all pretty easy.. Now that the pesky flap/connector was out of the way, I sliped the seat cover on, making sure to line up the holes for the seat belt hook. After making sure the top part of the cover felt snug I tucked the soft Velcro piece through the seat cushions and fully aligned before the final tightening. After getting the top seat feeling pretty snug, I realized I was going to have to cut holes for the head rests. I did this VERY CAREFULLY with a sharp box cutter. You want to cut this piece smaller than the actual plastic receptor, this makes it slide right under and will hide any imperfections in the cut. Here's what it looks like once you slide it under. .. And now with the whole head rest in. The head rest cover was very difficult to get on correctly, but fit snug once secured. The bottom part of the seat was pretty easy, with small elastic loops that used hooks to secure onto the seat frame on the bottom of the seat assembly. You don't have to be exact with those either, just be sure to not attach those in a spot where they will be pinched when you slide your seat forward/backward. Here are the final results: I have had tons of people comment positively on the seats and they cant believe what I paid for the covers. The only real knock I can throw at them is that the lower seat cover's edges show pretty glaringly when you open one of the doors. Great otherwise, would HIGHLY recommend. If nothing else they help keep your stock seats in good shape and add comfort.

mine did too at first, I removed the screw on the plastic bit at the base of the seat (it hides behind the lever) and was able to get a strap under that to make it fit more snug and not show much gap.
the only one I ever see is in the interior (toward the center console) about 3/4 cm or so between the belt buckle and the edge of the cover.
