Hi Everyone,
Sorry for the delayed reply on this thread. If your lips comes with self-tapping screws; there is a high probability that it is not an @HTAutos lip. The HT Autos lip comes with nuts/bolts/washers to ensure that the lip does not sag or deform. Due to the extreme contours of the FR-S/GT86 lower lips; we always recommend placing the lip in the sun or a warm area before installation. This helps the lip be more workable to conform to the curves on the front bumper. Start by clipping in one outer clip on each side so it holds the edges of the lip up, then work the middle where you can align the front upper edge of the lip and the fangs. The fangs on the HT Autos lip are closer in than the front bumper (it creates a transition opposed to a step). Remember that replica lips are just that.. replicas of our lip. Polyurethane shrinks after curing so when they pulled a mold off our lip; our lip was already shrunk to the size of the vehicle. The lip they pull off will shrink more and thus the fit will not be as good. Hence the need for self-tapping hardware. If you have any additional questions on the installation; drop me a PM! I am more than happy to help our customers out! Thanks! Eugene@Koruworks |

My kit came from @Koru and I had nuts and bolts .. I just chose to use self tapping screws .. Just seemed to me like the bolts were to long and the washers would have not been flat on the inside of the bumper .. Maybe if I would have taken the bumper off it woul have been easier... But in the garage on ramps .... Not so much .. I guess if it sags or something I'll figure something else out !! But as it is I'm perfectly happy with it
