Just like ML for Lexus. It's not worth it consider how much it costs, but you can hardly ignore many factors of factory premium audio vs tacky custom one. I do a lot of road trips (~400 miles last week), I can't see myself give up on trunk space. The only problem I have with their offering is they tie HK with Nav. Nav unit is the crappiest I've seen. Hopefully, Carplay update will improve the unit.

A good custom audio setup is hardly tacky.

Try to find an aftermarket installed one that I can fit 4 of my tires in there. What if I want to buy a TV?

HK sub is on the deck and 8" is sufficient enough... For me at least.

Can I ask your approximate height/build?

I'm 5'9 170lb and I really felt like the wheel didn't come back enough even with it all the way out. Overall the seating position just felt kinda strange. Then again I didnt have a ton of time to mess with it.

The new seats though.....money

I'm 5'8" and 160lb. I think there is a lot of space for bigger people. The steering wheel is fully adjustable, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Edit: New seat is A LOT better than the ones in '14.

You can fit the amp under the passenger seat. If you get some really good door speakers you may find you don't need a subwoofer anyway. And you could also go with an underseat sub for the drivers seat (but I will be honest, I am not a fan of underseat subs). I am sure we will see custom sub enclosures soon for the 15 WRX that will fit in the trunk that will integrade with the passenger or drivers side of the trunk you will still be able to fit tires/etc.

Nice pickup. Been looking at the new WRX/STI and the BRZ too. Can't decide between the RWD/MPG/NIMBLENESS vs AWD/ROOMINESS/BOOST.

I've had the AWD/BOOST/ROOMINESS before for years. Great cars, no doubt, but the WRX/STI NEVER put a grin on my face or just a simple feeling of satisfaction while driving like the BRZ does. Even when I'm just driving on errands, I always feel a little disappointed when I turn the engine off and get out.

Pick your poison. I do a lot of trips with friends and family, AWD, seats for 5 and a huge trunk space are big pluses. If I were to get a small car, it would be Miata. I test drove BRZ, it's plenty fun, but I like the snug feeling of Miata a lot more.

True, but it might end up costing the same or more consider how much time and money you put in it. I may get a little better sound system, but it's not worth it for me. Like I said before, the only complain I have is the nav unit.

It's a nice car for sure. I just can't do 4 door family cars, now if I had kids hands down I'd own a STI or WRX for a good mix.

See, I don't do a lot of hauling around of people. At least not more than just one passenger usually, so I can do just fine with room for just one. And if some of my passengers might be small, I can fit two extra passengers (no room for anyone behind me, b/c of my height).

So, if that's a priority for you then I'd say the WRX would be a great car for you (STI would be fine if it wasn't such a gas hog... the WRX is a more balanced platform in terms of cost and gas efficiency compared to the STI), and get the Miata.
