DDT lapping Sunday April 20. Mosport.
Anyone else going to this today? I realize it's early but should still be fun.

With Touge? If I wasn't installing springs I might check it out.

Not when your Scion decides to show it's inner Subaru! Ugh.
One snapped stud and both front sway bar end links are totally seized on, fun day! Tomorrow's mission, find a place to cut off the links and pop in a new stud.

Yeah, gonna try to borrow a sawzall as a backup, but heat and vicegrips should get them off. I didn't want to get them off today without new parts to go back on, but as soon as I source new links these ones will get the torch or axe
![]() Still gonna find a shop to press out the snapped stud, hopefully I can get in soon. OTA school in two weeks, don't want to leave it down to the wire. Ironically, I was looking at ARP studs at JRP the other day.

Had a cross threaded stud changing out my summer's this winter. Hammered out stud and pulled in new one using washers and an impact wrench, very easy, much easier than taking out the hub to press stud, since there's a good likelihood the hub will be seized - mine was.

Can you get the stud out with the hub still on the knuckle? I didn't look close enough, just assumed it wouldn't come out without removing the hub.

For future reference, you don't even have to pull the rotor off on the fronts! And even better, the nut from the sway bar endlinks is the right thread (and open ended) to pull the stud in without needing a stack of washers. Took me all of 2 minutes to hammer out the old one and pull the new one in!

Its pretty awesome how they designed the car to be so easily worked on. I was also surprised on how easy it was to change the brake pads... on my Mazda 3, the rears would take me forever to do wheras I can do them in less than 5 minutes on the BRZ!
