Greddy Turbo Questions
Hey guys,
I'm thinking about putting a turbo next year. I've checked the Greddy's turbo kit and it looks like a lot of the stuff like intake, manifold etc has been included in the kit. I'm wondering what kind of engine/power/pipes related mods I can do before installing the kit. Currently I have only installed the HKS Legamax Premium catback with mid-pipe. P.S. will my exhaust affect the power gain from the turbo? |

It's a full bolt on kit, so it will come with everything to install it on to your car.
Exhaust will definitely help a turbo car breathe, but it's not 100% necessary In terms of other basic related mods, there really aren't any besides exhaust.Down the road, you may want to consider stuff like fuel upgrades etc, but I would worry about getting the kid installed and tuned first. ps: Search this section of the forums, there's plenty of info on the Greddy kit and many others

You can purchase overpipe front pipe and catback to really open up this setup and have it ready before hand. I ran a 2.5 / 2.75" setup before and then switch to 2.5" overpipe to 3" all the way back from that and picked up some gains. If you can find a 3" overpipe that mates tapers and mates to stock header it will work just fine when you have the greddy kit installed.

A couple of gauges also are nice to have. Boost and AFRs at a minimum. I prefer a good multi gauge and a wideband.

Are there any 3" overpipes that have a 2.5" flange at the header side and 3" outlet at the front pipe side ?
