I don't know about tubro kit prices. But if you double your power with FI, all the other stuff you're required to buy really adds up.

Clutch, wheels & tires, oil cooler, radiator, gauges, catch can, fuel pump, injectors, engine mounts, bushings etc etc. Some say axles, diff, and even tranny. Also maybe 500-1000 for dyno and tuner costs afterwards even when it was all supposed to be 'finished'.

Rant mode on... I guess I have enjoyed flushing money down the toilet, since basicly mods will never hold any value. But the smarter move would have been to buy someone's car after they built their dream, only to change their mind and move on.

I lost count around 2 or 3 dozen really tits FI cars in the classifieds, always at a price about what the unmodified car goes for.

@Lischynski - duuuuuuuude!!!!!

That Berk dual tip delete is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks man!

Also, does anybody know someone else that has an automagic with the delete? In manual shift mode there is a fantastic pop sound between shifts. It's not there in regular Drive. I'll catch some footage here soon. And those autoblip downshifts? Damn they feel and sound good, I'm gonna start getting about 11 miles per gallon...

I forgot to mention that you will have much better throttle response. It caught me by surprise when I first started driving.

Glad you like it!

WOW, pb blaster is wonderful stuff, but GEEZE anything penetrated by it (that's what she said, @nelsmar ) just reeks of it & the smell (while not too bad) simply grows more & more noxious.

Just having my old exhaust stashed in my apartment for a few hours was giving me a fumes headache (maybe also b/c it had exposed used cats, :dunno: ). Had to toss the oem components. Couldn't keep them in the car or in the apartment, & I have no garage, so into the trash they had to go. Already headache is fading.

Anyone have tips on ridding the cabin of persistent noxious vapors quickly? That is, removing strong odors such as heavy perfume, smoke, etc (the noxiousness of heavy perfume is the same kind of noxious that pb blaster has on me, btw)? Baking soda? New cabin filter? Something else?

On phone I am. Therefore, if mistakes I make, Frank Oz blame you should.

Open both windows, turn your fan on high, and get on I-10 and cruise at 100mph for a few minutes. Clears everything right out.

Eat a lot of beans, wait a couple hours, take a long drive and drop ass deep into the seats.
That should do it.

Well I have no intention of getting rid of this car anytime soon so im not worried too much about the parts keeping their value. As far as the other parts needing to be replaced I was planning on replacing most of them in the future. I do appreciate your insight though.

The Primacy's are summer grand touring tires and ranked #1 in Tire Rack's survey for their class. The #1 rated Max Performance Summer tire by Tire Rack's survey is the Michelin Pilot Super Sport.

Yeah, they're "grand touring" not performance tires. Whatever "grand touring" means besides lower performing than performance tires.

Grand touring tires are meant for just what their name states, touring. They have a softer ride and better traction in weather for long drives.

That makes them a good tire for my old ass.

I want tires with reasonable performance and reasonable life. I like long drives on winding roads, probably won't ever put it on a track and push it hard. Yesterdays mountain drive was perfect for me. I'll reevaluate once I wear them down.
