Rob told me he doesn't take any money until he has availability. I asked him to put my name on the list because I'd like to be in the next batch that's available.

That being said this mod obviously won't put you back in the seat the same way the original installation of the ESC did. It really rounds out the performance of the kit and helps the system maintain a bit more boost on the top end.

Where can you get batteries for $21 each?

The website says they are $89.54 for the dump pack.

Or is there that big a difference between US $ and Canadian $?

The $21 is for the extra half dump batteries.

Yes the addition half dump are different batteries from the first ones.

They are half the size and half the price. 21 bucks each.

What's the make and model? I might as well get 'em because resistance is futile.

Has anyone with the oft and phantom sc tried launch control?

I know we probably shouldn't go WOT with boost and LC both being active but maybe 75 percent throttle just so that it gets to 5500 rpm then wait for the revs to drop a bit and hit it with 100 percent throttle?

This is what I did with my brz edit tune..... With ecutek it was not possible because because you had to do a special launch sequence that involved clutch, first gear, 100 percent throttle.
@shiv@vishnu can you comment on if LC is safe with boost?

Thanks

I've posted on this a few times. Launch control works via the ECU rapidly opening and closing the throttle plate to maintain rpm (5,000 or 5,500...I don't remember where the sweet spot lies). It would be much safer to just hold that rpm via the throttle and going WOT during launch. You would get the instant response of the ESC rather then a depleted engagement. For example, if you held the launch control for two seconds you'd launch with 18.x volts rather then a full charge if you modulated the throttle.

Oh I agree. Plus if you add boost to 5500rpm you are just going to spin to redline. The key is to get off the line quick and then when traction stabilizes hit boost.

Gonna try it today...I will report back.

I've been thinking a lot about batteries lately.

What do you guys think about the Power-Sonic starter battery?
Have you ever had a problem starting the car?
I ask you this because I've never had a problem with it but I live in Florida and I notice a lot of you live in the frozen north. Or the really cold northwest.

I'm totally impressed how such a relatively small and light weight thing can replace the anchor of the stock battery.

So... Any bad stories?
