Added a silver streak on each side to help out the rest.

Is that what you meant by "blending"?

Finally settled on some new wheels/tires:

Enkei PF01, 17x7.5, +38 with Michelin PSS 225/45 and stock suspension/no camber adjustment.

Looks great! Stock ride height? Also, tires are they 35,40? Any noticeable change in handling/stability/performance?

Edited my post...thanks for that clarification.

The tires are 225/45 and the car is stock suspension. Most would say needs moar low....I don't disagree, but am staying with stock suspension for now.

Front wheels are just barely tucked into the fender, rears a little more so....to me this is perfect....not nearly as sunk in looking as stock. Here's a pic of the front wheel almost straight down view:

I've tracked the car once, and plan to do at least one or two HPDE's this year and will do my first autocross in a couple of months. This car is also my daily driver.

After my first track event, I swore I would not venture back on the track with stock rubber....

You asked about feel and handling...I just had them mounted yesterday and then left on a family trip, so the car is at home. I only drove it home from the garage, and there is a noticeable, but expected change in steering feel with wider tire....a bit more weighty feel to the steering...I wouldn't call it heavy by any means, but it is a very noticeable change and will take some getting used to. As for handling, I haven't driven through any aggressive corners yet....will report back on that later.

Great thanks! I'm looking at these as well, same size, offset, tires, etc. also mine is a DD so I'm going to stay at stock ride height. I really just want some more stability from the wider tire. I have MPSS on my stock wheels right now and love the grip, but I'm thinking a wider tire will give some greater highway speed stability. I hope lol

Those look great. Pretty light, too, aren't they?

BTW...you will love what a $20 set of camber bolts can do.

They are just a tick over 17lbs per wheel...not bad for this price point.
What will the camber bolts do for me? Better turn in...how else does it affect steering feel?

My garage driveway is too steep at the moment, so an outdoor cover was a must.

A little wink

Better everything. Turn in bites better. Better feel, like you can throw the car around more aggressively and it will keep up with you. The car doesn't have a ton of body roll, but any little bit begs for negative camber. There is no downside for moderate negative camber.

As long as toe is corrected, tire wear should not be a concern. I drive 60-70 miles/day and if this was an issue, the insides of my tires would be gone by now. I'm at roughly -1 degree and whenever I get back to the alignment shop, I'll have them max out the bolts, which still won't be all that much.

Since we're on the subject, solid steering rack bushings help with feel and response as well. HUGE improvement for a small cost.

What am I doing to my BRZ today? Finally run a power cable to my phone mount, and get the damn thing washed. Poor car has been filthy for far too long.

Thanks for the info! I will be going in for an alignment check sometime soon...will probably have some crash bolts put on at that time.

Unless it's for auto-x rules, I would just pay a little extra and get eccentric bolts. Eibach, Whiteline, whatever. You get a larger range of adjustment and it will be much easier for the shop to fine-tune, so that you have less of a delta between sides. Crash bolts work by wiggle room, and there isn't that much.

Put on crappy, raced stock STI tires for my STI BBS wheels. My winter tires were shot. Techs were all, "Looks like you had some fun with those things!" haha YUP! Every change I got!

These tires are temporary until I can get some Conti DW's. The car needs an alignment OR they just threw the tires on haphazardly without checking balance and condition for front or rear preference. Too busy to care! Summer is here because I say so!

Last night I went cruising with a bunch of mixed bag of turbocharged cars. My buddy Rob has a Galaxy Blue BRZ Premium. Apparently we were "Fast & Furious" after we casually caught up to the group cruising on the highway and downtown. We made our way up front. It's nice to drive with someone else that knows how to drive between traffic.

Another FR-S came out that we hadn't seen before. Sitting on chrome Work Emotion wheels, dropped to the point of crazy rubbing. First I've seen of its kind in Alaska. I'll snap a pic next time for ya'll.

Yup. Just so the car didn't look front half silver and back half gold. Sorry if blend isn't the term that works best with vinyl
