Thank God you mentioned. I have never heard of it before. This looks less attractive than the European one, but it is actually more functional. Overall, I slightly prefer this one. Also it does not involve drilling our cars, right?
No it involves drilling still.

Did you get it in alcantara or did you pay for an oem leather piece to be wrapped in more leather? Cause it's $215 for the OEM part from them + $135 for the wrap.

damn, never so easy. from somewhere i found out that the msrp for this item is $200. msrp with installation is $250, which is not that steep. also if i buy the other oem toyota arm rest from some jdm shops or UK ebay, can I bring it to the dealership and get it installed for $50?

also, can i come to the toyota dealer in usa and ask them to order the UK/JDM armrest? anybody tried that yet?

I asked my local Toyota/Scion parts department, even gave them the Toyota of Europe part number, and they could not order it.

I like that sliding armrest from Toyota. That might be the best compromise between all of the armrests. I always carry a steel thermos type cup of water with me, so having easy access to one cup holder is valuable to me. (due to chemotherapy and cancer I need to drink all the water that I can hold.............) (but I finish my six month regimen next week and all is good on the scans and blood tests, so no need to worry.....)

Soon I'll be ready to autocrosss again. Yahoooooo!

Thanks a lot for the link. Do you have to pay any import duties or fees like that? Hope my credit card company won't charge me too much for buying stuff in pound.

Agree with you here. I tried today to put my tumbler in the door cup holder. Since my tumbler is tall, it is quite awkward. So it is really hard to decide. One looks better and one works better. I guess I should be happy either way.
