Well due to my own fault my cat disintegrated and is now clogging up my exhaust system. Luckily it has disintegrated into a fine white powder and has not chewed up my turbo.

My fault: flashing a new update and doing a WOT pull too soon (the cams where not online yet) which caused VE to drop and AFR to drop to 10. This incinerated my cat and the car wouldn't make anymore than 3 psi and felt like it was choking at 4k +. A shop took the exhaust apart and found that the cat was dead but the turbo was unscathed.

After picking it up, the header is so plugged with powder that I had to leave it parked.

If you are getting this kit look hard at getting their header (or any other header for that matter). All it takes is one rich condition to fry the cat.

Since their header hasn't even gone into production I am going to have to buy a temporary one or have my stock one cut and gutted etc.

Sorry to hear about the experience, but it definitely does make me think twice about running the kit on the stock manifold. Good luck getting everything sorted.

That's interesting to hear. My car was on a dyno for 12 hours the other day with multiple rich pulls throughout. No issues with the stock exhaust manifold.

I thought it was LEAN conditions that will burn up the cat?? either way do not waste money on a temp header if your plans are getting the ptuning one. Just gut the stock one

Lean and Rich are both bad for the cat. A lean mixture creates more heat, but an overly rich mixture and contaminate the cat with hydrocarbons and burn it up as well.

Sorry to hear that @sw20kosh hope you get everything fixed soon though

Is there a preorder going on for the PTuning headers yet? Or was that only for the oil cooler and windshield fluid tank relocator?

There is! I am in the preorder. They need 1 more person I think before they start production...

Rich condition will dump unburnt fuel into the cat which as you can imagine is not a good thing..

The tune was fine. It was my fault for doing a WOT pull faster than the cam engaged. If you didn't know the cams take about 30 secs after flashing to activate otherwise they are at 0 deg the whole pull.
