I'd probably keep it forever if I lived in California or something.

I'm worried about the snow in Michigan. Tested out the traction and stability today with a light dusting on the roads.

Gotta say, it's weird but I like it. Mash the throttle and the tires kick out about 2 feet and then it cuts and pulls you back. Also kicked the rear out just switching lanes with snow in the middle and it beeped and pulled my car straight.

It would probably be terrifying without the driver-aids.

Pay it off in 3 years, give it to wife when we move out of the city. Have her drive it until we have kids and she needs a bigger car, take it back and use it as my daily to keep miles off whatever ridiculous Porsche/GTR/Supra(Please God) I own at the time.

simple answer: "As long as I can." Until I need more space or I have to get rid of it. And when I do, I wont go far. WRB for life.

If I do it right, 10 years and it will do its last slide into the scrapyard as a well used up car.

Then I will look around to see what is available as an option for a new toy.

I'm keeping it forever.

Pay it off early and garage it, this car is going to be a classic (its already be dubbed an instant classic by some publications).

Then I'll probably buy the STI version *if they ever produce one.

Have you driven a 135i or 335i? I owned a 135i for 2 years and 60000km and wouldn't go back.

Its heavy and it FEELs heavy, handling is barge like compared to the twins, upkeep and mods are MUCH pricier, has problems putting power down even on a stock tune with 10mm wider extreme performance summer tires, no limited slip diff, brakes fade quick in stock form and caliper pistons tend to crack with track use, not much steering feel.

Overall its a 9/10 long distance touring type car but closer to a 6/10 for sports car in my eyes.

DAMN fast in a straight line with just a tune even though.

Went from 190E -> e46 M3 -> 135i -> z4 M Coupe -> mk6 GTI -> 5.0 stang -> BRZ in only 6 years time.
Im not quite this bad but I feel the same way. I've loved all my cars but the love does wear off and I'm not convinced a single car would keep me happy forever.
