Front passenger seat is for someone that is at the most 5"7 to sit comfortably, any bigger than that will not be so great...

You can guestimate the distance by lining up the seat using the speaker pad. There really isn't that much room and I don't know how anyone more than 5 feet tall can say it's comfortable and even then, it isn't.

The seat also looks like it's on the borderline for being at the wrong angle.

I put in a rolled up towel to make sure the car seat line was horizontal(just as the car seat manual told me to do)

Update:
The car seat is working out great. The comfort level of my kids(5 month baby girl and 6 year old boy) is great. Passenger comfort is ok at best... but we do not use the FRS to transport the whole family. We have the Highlander for that
I added sun shades to the back window to keep the sun away from the baby and added the mirror too. So the point is, the FRS will do as a "family" car for normal school pick up and grocery store run, but for everything else, it's better to have a second bigger car if you have a wife, 2 kids and 2 dogs like me

This is just my opinion, but I'm one of those people that have early memory like 2-3 years old. I hated being claustophobiaized in the back seat of my fathers 260Z. I just think people with young'ns this age should really think about how the child reacts. Some may be fine but if they start throwing fits consider the childs psychological well being and a different car.


Not only that but isn't it a real physical challenge to even rig this up , putting a seat then child in the back of my FRS I think might put me in the hospital.


Just food for thought and I could be completely wrong but I think there is some truth to a wrx being the better car for babies/infants?

My son loves the FRS, it's "daddy's race car". He has no issues what so ever with being in the back seat.

You've already pointed out your traumatic childhood and your opinions on using this car as a baby hauler, we understand that you believe it's worse than water boarding, but if it were status quo then we'd all be having a discussion about "my kid hates this car what should I do?". Clearly this isn't the case and you are the exception. It sucks you had such a hard time, though.

Getting the seat in and out with the baby in it is a little cumbersome, but putting the handle down let's it slip right in. It's honestly not difficult once you've got the hang of it, but it's still not as easy as my wife's car where we just drop the seat into position.

Of course a WRX would be a better choice, or better yet, maybe we should all get minivans?

As is, my daughter enjoys the car. As she gets older and taller, if we can't make it work then we will consider options. I'm not going to solve a problem that doesn't exist yet.

I'm pretty sure you already posted this regal. Sucks about your rough time in that 260z. Sounds like it made a pretty significant impact on you.
