No, I didn't. They look structural, so I've left them alone.

So how did all the weight savings and all that downforce work at the AutoX?

My car was sticking a lot better than a lot of other peoples', but I think I had the stickiest tires out of all the 86's out there. I would think that played the biggest factor. The wing probably helped a tad, but I have no way of knowing. However, I can say with 100% certainty that the wing does exactly what I wanted it to do, plus some. The majority of my driving is joy riding around where I live, and there a few places where I know for sure that the rear end would get squirrely every single time. Not anymore. Not even a little bit! Also, my car has always been a bit unstable at high speeds. Not too dramatic, but it always felt like it was getting wobbled around by wind around 85mph+. I've also talked to several other people that have this same problem (although none with BRZ's, coincidence or not). I completely was not thinking about that when I purchased, waited for, and installed this wing. But I got to about 105 this weekend, and: nothing. Perfectly stable and grounded. So that's a huuuge bonus that I hadn't even counted on. I was really skeptical of the benefits of a wing (fear of all show, no go) but dropped the $1,300 on it anyway. Totally satisfied. Would buy again. Plus it looks completely outrageous, which fits the personality of my car. I bought it totally expecting it to look stupid, but as it turns out... I actually like the way the thing looks. It's one of those things you have to see in person though. Pictures are damn near irrelevant.

We need pics of the new wing!
Just as a heads up, mine stock BRZ has been up to 125 and totally stable.... but I also own a Wrangler and on the rare occasions that I commute with it, I do 90 so I might not be the most accurate judge of what others might consider stable. |

Hahaha yeah, I drive my dad's Wrangler every once in a while, and pretty much anything over 25mph freaks me out. That turn radius though...

To be fair, mine is in great shape and will run 75mph with no hands on the wheel and track straight. No vibes or anything. As for the turning radius... it is amazing, it turns INSIDE the BRZs turning radius. My mom's Grand Cherokee has a slightly tighter turning radius than the BRZ though.

Just don't want to. I might do some eventually, but for now I'm content with twisty rural roads and autocross. As soon as I buy a new house and am comfortable, I plan to get a dedicated track bike for track days.
