Got it. I knew there had to be an open source code for that but didn't spot it on RR forums. So what else merpmod has besides ffs/lc and sd?

Plenty - cel flash on knock, cel flash on high EGT (using o2 sensor resistance), speed density with MAF blending, FFS with per gear thresholds, LC, per gear boost control. I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff...

Regarding the "base timing a" and "base timing b" tables. I've been missing around with different settings trying to figure out the difference, and it looks like "base timing b" is used only when vcs sport is on is that correct? I wanted to relabel the tables so I won't forget.

AFAIK Base A is VVT disabled, B is normal operation.

Does that mean that VVT is disabled when the VSC sport is off? On the dyno graphs I'm noticing a 40hp difference when vsc is on or off.

*EDIT* Timing was too low on first pull. Just happened that my VSC was off and I didn't think 2 degrees of timing would make so much difference.

No, VSC should have no impact on the tables at all and doesn't have an impact on performance. All the VSC does is allow for less interruption from the traction control. Are you talking about the AT or MT?

I have an MT. Maybe there's another variable that I'm missing.

Anyone know if there anything like Learning View in the works for this platform? Loved that feature for my '08 STI but I know that capability wasn't available after MY '11 (I think)...

Not as far as I know. You should ask developer of LV on RR forum if he plans to do a new release.

yep, i just couldn't remember the nick from the top of my head.

he wrote a LOT of good staff.

the problem is that most of those free proggies aren't open source. so when they move on with their lives their proggies die off.

I hope there is room for a few remedial questions but after 2 years I am very close to updated to the latest factory calib. My back up car is alost back together so in case something goes wrong no worries. My e-tuning stopped with hondata a decade ago.

What I have:

1. Tatrix cable cable.
2. ecuflash_brz_beta_1444040b.exe
3. Td-d's def file ZA1IB01C.xlm (don't think I need this as my goal is just to upgrade factory calib.)
4. 2013ZA1JB01C.bin
5. 2013ZA1JB01C.hex
6. Aspire One Laptop dual boots Win XP/Win 7x64 (USB 2.0)

I imagine I want to install all this on the WinXP partition? And do I need both the hex and bin file on the laptop? Any drivers I need (this is SP3?)

Thanks for the time/thread.
