Interesting, I didn't receive that email, but then again I haven't received my head unit yet either. Got an email this morning with the tracking info. It should actually be delivered this afternoon.

You probably didn't get a unit that was affected. They said it was just one batch fortunately.

Congrats on the purchase. Post pics when u get it

Contemplating going this route since I've upgraded every item but the headunit. Currently running an lc6i to convert the audio seeing as their are no preamp outputs on the brz headunit.

My only concern is the lack of separate front and rear channel preamp outputs like on most aftermarket headunits.

Has anyone confirmed if another bluetooth OBD will work with this, and not just the one they sell?

I would also like to know this as I would rater use a cheap low profile elm then to buy their bulky obd2 reader. This would load the bullet for me.

I'm going to assume they used grey instead of the violet.

yeah, i figured that much. I'm just not sure if they still need to be swapped or if the harnesses with the grey wire are good to go?

Also, @SHIFTER - any tips for ejecting the SWC pin so i can reuse it for the amp wire?

If they kept the blue pinned the same, you may have to swap it since it looks like it should be where your grey wire is.

You could just buy obd2 extension ribbon flat cable from Amazon and pout module wherever

You probably don't need to swap the pins. Plug it in and try it first.

Needle nose pliers, smallish ones. Grab onto the end of the pin and push inward and it should pop out.
