If the kid has issues in the back of a sports car, then yeah you might need to accommodate, that's a clear point. If the kid is fine with it, then carry on. I know several kids would prefer to take the fun car.

Not everyone is going cross country with the whole family shoehorned into the 86, most of us are just looking for car seat options that will work when its needed.

If it's any consolation to people hesitating on buying a car like this with toddlers just bring them to the dealer. That's what I did and it seems to have worked out.

My 3 year old tortures me because he refuses to leave my car and I have to sit in my driveway an extra 5 min every time I get home to negotiate the terms of my release.

I think you mentioned that you're over 6 feet tall? If you have someone in the passenger seat, they're going to have a bad time with the baby seat behind them. I'm 5'6 and it's not even close to being comfortable. My head is like 6 inches from where the headliner meets the windshield and I have to sit side-saddle.

Well anyways... I'm ordering the combi concorro. My FRS is due to arrive at port Monday so I'm hoping I'll have it by the end of next week. I'll take pictures of the combi in the car and post them here.

I'm good with front facing. When my wife is with us my son crosses his legs or puts them between the seats. I now have a newborn. To much of a mess to do rear facing. Just not enough room.

Rear facing CAN work with a passenger, but it depends on which seat you're using. It's less than ideal, but my wife (5'6") was just fine for a drive to Ft Collins (little over an hour from Denver). She was a little more upright and forward than she normally is, but she said she wasn't cramped. Little Adalie was passed out the entire trip. Her seat was adjusted a few clicks back, and tilted a few clicks as well. The baby seat we're using (can't remember the model) puts the back edge of the baby seat right under the edge of the headrest.

I do plan to use this car possibly when I have kids, but when I saw the title of the thread I thought it might just be refering to the 86 twins AKA babies. ..

Need pics. I just can't see how that works unless you have the baby seat at the wrong angle.

I'll take a bunch of selfies with the Graco 30 at the right and wrong angles.

I've got a 3 year old, and her seat fits fine, but it is pretty difficult to get it in and out of the car...

Errr...isn't that a bit young to be front facing?

It used to be one year for rear facing. They found that childred are 5 times safer to stay rear facing vs front facing and now recommend rear facing until 2 years old now. We left our last two kids rear facing until they were almost 3.
