Yes, I'll admit that there is close to zero rasp and slight rumble to it, but drone is what killed it for me and the cat back reputation. Again, this is my opinion. Every car is different, there are indeed many variables that factor into volume.

Based off all the videos I watched I don't think the Evo 3 sounds rice-y at all.

I picked up the exhaust yesterday and got it installed. Man can't tell you guys how much I love it. Sounds great no rasp or rice-y feel. Nice deep growl. Only thing is like others said it is loud in the car and there is drone. But anyways still love the exhaust.
