Is that with the set screw all the way in? I think WC supplies a hex key that fits a set screw underneath the knob; is that screw threaded all the way? Maybe that will drop it a bit?

EDIT: Unless you like the knob that high, then I got nothin, sorry!

Is there any issue with the weighted shift knobs putting extra strain on the transmission/gear/synchros?

Similar to resting your hand on the shifter while in gear, the weighted knob has to have the same effect of resting your hand on the shifter even when your hand is off because of the extra weight.

interesting, never though about that. I hate it when my frds drive my car and they have the nasty habit of resting their hands on the shifter even they are not shifting.

I can't even bring myself to rest it on there for more than few second.the vibration makes my hand tingle

I've wondered this myself. If you're supposed to keep any extra weight/pressure off the shifter (like you're NOT supposed to rest your hand on there), then what's the effect of mounting a purposely weighted object, such as a fatty shift knob, on there.

Works with the reverse lockout collar from my BPS short shift kit

Looks good with that silver reverse lockout! I went with the gunmetal myself, but your picture gives me second thoughts!
