Consider keeping the stock filter for the days when you clean the K&N... you have to wait quite a while for it to dry or something and you will need to put the stock one back in if you want to drive anywhere during the process

What part of K&N drop in filter are you not impressed about?

Went on a fun roadtrip up to Carmel. On the first day, we drove G16 all the way up Carmel Valley from the 101 (awesome road, if a little treacherously narrow in places). We spent the night in the valley and drove PCH down through Big Sur this morning, then drove Nacimiento-Fergusson road and G18 (iirc) back over to the 101. I'm told that Nacimiento-Fergusson is a road that was built by the army during the second world war to train truck drivers to drive a similarly-treacherous road that connected Burma to China. After this treat, we spent some boring time on the 101, hopped off at highway 166, drove further inland for a bit and then drove Tepusquet Road and Foxen Canyon down into Los Olivos. Then we took highway 154 back to Santa Barbara.

It was an awesome 26 hours!

Here are some pictures from Nacimiento-Fergusson this morning:

I de-badged my trunk today and gave it a super quick wash. I think the few touchless washes I went through took off all the wax the dealer supposedly put on it in the final detail.

There is no noticeable difference in sound, throttle response, power, etc. I guess it's nice to have a longer lasting one that I can clean for only $40 but beyond that don't expect much until you drop something in that requires the additional airflow.

Had a shop weld a branch resonator to reduce cabin drone. Give or take a 40% drone reduction. Will probably go back to lengthen the resonator/pipe.
