That said, as you stated horsepower isn't everything. The FT-86 does feel faster because of how low it is, but even with that it's not slow. Want to make this car insane, turbo or supercharge it. Here are some stock times for comparison... 2013 Scion FR-S 0-60 6.2 sec http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...#ixzz2yRgeBh73 2011 Chevrolet Camaro 0-60 6.1 sec 2011 Dodge Challenger 0-60 6.4 sec 2011 Ford Mustang 0-60 6.2 sec 2011 Hyundai Genesis 0-60 5.8 sec http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...#ixzz2yRg1hUuo

I dunno, she could be real. We always see people bitching about more power when they should have just bought a lead sled. It's not inconceivable that someone drives these boats and then an 86 for the first time and realizes there's another world of driving available to them. She could actually be realizing she is a real driver and doesn't live her life 1/4 mile at a time. It's not like her op didn't make any sense. __________ Yes, a Porsche is the next logical upgrade path from the 86 atm which says quite a bit. Last edited by Boxer486; 04-09-2014 at 10:50 PM. |

This is supposedly the next supra(Toyota FT-1), not the FR-S which was to us the FT-86. I hope you're joking.

You get it, this car is special.
It's odd seeing someone so positive when most comparisons go 'well X car beats it in performance and interior space and I think X looks better and the base model is cheaper'. Hope you didn't get a bad first impression, welcome to the internet. |

If the FR-S is a Corolla GTS does that make the Scion tC a Celica? Last edited by dnieves; 04-09-2014 at 11:17 PM. |

The FR-S feels faster because it doesn't have to haul around an extra 1300 lbs of weight.
It may also have to do with expectations. You expect it to be slow because of it being half the horsepower and torque. The fact of the matter is that the FR-S isn't slow, but, nor is it a stoplight warrior. |
