Has he gotten you a version with rr7? Pretty sure the 8.52 version I have was still rr5 (12000 svn revision range, still the a1c ROM)

I haven't received my revision either. Opened the ticket when it was first announced. I just continue to *patiently* wait.

I received an update a few days ago for my intercooler upgrade and Bill sent me 8.52. What coolant did you guys use for the intercooler?? I used the Subaru coolant and realized its a 50/50 mix and the manual says to use a 70 water/30 coolant mix.

I just used regular coolant-- you don't have to use the subaru stuff. More water in the mixture will make it cool better but will raise the freezing point and lower the boiling point. I think I did closer to the 70/30 mixture.

I'm testing 8.54 at the moment, ran about 60km of logs under different conditions. We noticed car running a little Rich hence reason for all the logs.
Im sure it's just my version of the tune, as I'm adding mixture to increase to 103Ron, which requires fine tuning. If not then you know Bill working hard to get this tune perfect out to you.
It is super smooth, no hesitation, nice power with a kick from 4000rpm WOT.

I'd suggest a very thorough test in 6th gear around 70-80mph (whatever that is in km), on the highway with varying throttle input from barely any up to WOT. Aside from the surging in the 4-5k range under creeping throttle input, I've always felt a slight jerky feeling in the car while on the freeway and climbing very small hills (this is in the 3k range)

Exactly what I logged cruising at 120kmh 6th gear slight throttle in and out for over 50km. Then town driving in traffic for 10km. Next day cold start driving into traffic for 15km then back on highway cruising for 20km.
Then pushed the car 4,5,6 gears from 3000 up to 7000rrpm for 15km.

Anything else you suggest?

I assure you the jerk is gone.

If you've done mild acceleration pulls in stop and go traffic from 1-4th gears (to keep up with the acceleration of the traffic), and there's no jerk at 20 to 50% throttle then I can't make any other suggestions

I promise I did just that.
Bill was very specific in how to log and requested long continuos logs. I did almost 200km of logging.
That jerk around 4000rpm gone, however I did feel ever so slight hesitation under 2000rpm when I came off the highway back into traffic for the first few pull off, then went away. Got this on the log.
Other than that very very smooth.

In order to sell me car to the dealer that is purchasing it, it must pass smog here in CA and be "legal". Please let me know your thoughts on if my car will pass, to be honest, I have never had a car smogged before, I am not sure what is involved or what they check.

My SC has a CARB sticker from innovate.
I have a catback exhaust, no headers / all stock cats.
Running flex fuel and 70mm pulley.

Would pump gas or e85 be best for passing smog?

Do you guys think Ill have an issue???

Assuming you aren't running the carb tune, having the Flex Fuel and 70mm pulley? I'm pretty sure some of the flex fuel tunes out there using the CPC input to the ECU caused one of the systems to report "Not Ready" (I know I've seen it aleast on my original flex fuel tune, haven't checked the latest from my current tuner - Ohio doesn't care) - not sure what Cali's stance on that is - I know if you use something like Torque you can check your car out to see what the systems report. Since you haven't changed the header/overpipe/midpipe you should be good CO2 wise - it just depends if they connect up to the ODBII port to see what the ECU reports.

Correct, not running the CARB tune, due to flex fuel and pulley. I didn't realize they checked anything with ECU... figured it was just CO2...

I do have an ODBII connector, but I have an iPhone so no torque. I have an app, what am I looking for?

Not sure of an app for the iPhone that does it (I'm an android guy) but I believe it's called a "Readiness Monitor" and the ECU reports on a few of them (something like 6 - 8 of them I think). Not sure if Cali does this or not however, or if you are "allowed" to have a few report Not Ready as opposed to Ready.

Might try something like this?: http://www.devtoaster.com/products/rev/
