Honestly, most people that have bought from me try to haggle DURING the meeting. I'm surprised this was your first.
This.

When i want to buy something off sites like 'craigslist' i usually try to haggle. Why pay more when you can pay less.

I post all pictures of whatever I'm selling on craigslist that includes damages. And if they want to know more about the item I can take more pictures close up or far away. No way in he'll are you meeting at my house to pick something up.

Worst is I keep getting fking flakers. why bother asking me if I still have it when I clearly state in the ad that if the post is up the item is still available and you don't respond anymore.

I think haggling prices is only acceptable when the buyer sees damages or scuffs on the item that the seller didn't mention on the site or realized at all. Other than that, the buyer should pay the exact amount that was agree prior to meeting up.

Sorry to generalize but Craigslist caters to the cheapest and slimiest people. I was in the process of moving residences and had some furniture listed for "free" and had hundreds of emails requesting I deliver to them.

As for selling, I would rather donate my unwanted belonging then deal with craigslist.

hahaha one time I had a party and had several bags of empty beer cans. I figured maybe someone want to try and return them for the deposit as I didn't want to waste my time. People from like 100 miles away asking if I would meet them, Threw that shit in the trash the next recycle day

Put them outside with a sign saying $10. They'll be gone as soon as you close your door. Don't say free though, or people will think there's something wrong with them and won't take them.

Go to a ghetto used tire place, they'll give you money for them or take them for free if they had some tread. They'll sell those fuckers. I got $5 for each of my winter tires when they were past their winter use tread.
