Supertek. I'm gonna try to log any instances of heat soak as it gets warmer since people are having really mixed experiences with them. Some people aren't having any issues, others say they heat soak like crazy. I'll do my own logging and adjustments as needed assuming performance is adversely effected, which I doubt it will be. And shit, the price was right. Got the intake pipe and the Supertek filter (it's a rebadged aFe/Takeda) for under $125 shipped

I didn't really have any issues with mine. I did only have it installed during winter though.

Yeah, the thing with aluminum intakes is that they heat up really quickly but they also cool off really quickly. I think it's kind of a moot point unless you're tracking the car really hard in hot temperatures.

Good meeting you yesterday, Darren, and thanks for all the help!
Let me know if you ever need an extra hand building the place up, you've got a helluva project going there. Also, for those of you worried about aluminum intakes, my IATs were actually LOWER than usual yesterday, and after about 45 minutes of spirited driving around town the pipe was still cool to the touch. |

We did get Sean's ( @Turbo95eg6) STi springs installed on his BRZ on Friday. 40 minutes, not really trying to break a record. I think that we could do it in 30 if we wanted to!

Great Eight Lowering Day (Sat May 31st)
[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-Jw1-Y_PNg"]Great Eight Lowering Day - May 31st - YouTube[/ame]
ORIGINAL POST We're going to break some records. A few days ago Tyler and I lowered @Turbo95eg6's BRZ in 40 minutes without trying too hard.... and I think we could do it in 30 minutes if we were a little more streamlined. (we've lowered dozens of local cars now, check the MY SHOP link in my sig to see who) If you have been thinking about getting your car lowered and would like to take part in this, just shout out! You have to source your own springs, preferably from a site sponsor (or eBay, Amazon, etc) and once we get a handful of people we will figure out the best day for everyone. The cost will be $40 plus a 12-pack of microbrews for the shop fridge. (mixpacks preferred, but any 12-pack craft brew appreciated) INSTALL SCHEDULE 10:15 @Gabster Eibach Pro Kit 11:00 @detainu (2pm alignment appt) Tein S.Tech at shop 11:45 @Bobby D (works at 3pm) Tein S.Tech at shop 12:30 @Wildseven Tein S.Tech 1:15 @Wildseven (brother Dennis) Tein S.Tech 2:00 @speedy (late afternoon plans) brand? 2:45 @Ris (no rush) Eibach Sportlines 3:30 @Marchy (no rush) RaceComp Engineering Yellows .

I might be up for this. Looking for a more comfortable ride than my stance coils.

I would be down to come hang out and help empty the beer fridge for a couple hours.

Maybe some of us with springs should chime in on some recommendations for new owners as well.
I have the eibach sportlines and they dropped me 1.5 front and 1.4 rear. They drive very well performance wise but leave a lot to be desired as for daily driver comfort. You will get -1.6 degrees of rear camber with these springs. They come with bumpstops so u dont have to cut ur stock ones. Hard turns are great. Bumps are not. Visually fantastic. Personally would recommend rce yellows over these unless u want the added drop which I did and still plan on going lower with coilovers soon. May sell mine at that time as well. Hope that helps with some decisions.

At this rate, Tyler can start funding an STi swap on his GC8.
