And why should you.

I'm at 22.8 mpg and less than 200 miles on this tank of gas. SOFA KING FUN!

For my PDX bretren, that's several laps of Germantown, 30, Newberry, Skyline, repeat.

What this car can do in second gear around the real hard twisties is just sofa king amazing. 55 in 2nd gear, wow. Posted limit, typically 45 mph.

I'm new, bought it March 1st, took that route home from dealership. Just ticked 1700 miles or so this week.

Autocross is my future.

Looks like you are only within first and second gears mostly. What speed you're at before switching to second and what speed range you retain in second?

I spend a lot more time looking at the road than on the dials, but I did notice my stock AT in Sport mode and full throttle switched from 5th to 6th consistently at 212km/h.
(Legally, on German Autobahn, for the record.)

I drove it normally during the break in period. Now I drive it more spiritedly (and sometimes like a maniac) especially around windy roads and turns. I even had the unfortunately chance of getting caught with a speeding ticket on a empty road recently around midnight on a sat night...

The only time I drive it 'normally' is if I have to take my mother somewhere, stuck in heavy traffic, or stuck behind a slow car. :P

I don't... I like the Autobahn where it is, a ferry ride away in a different country.
The Autobahn is a soulless machine of transportation. The novelty of driving fast soon wears off.
I like our Norwegian roads, the ones with less traffic, more curves, and full of spirit.
This is Fylkesvei 51 Valdresflya earlier today:

Me and my GT86 both love this road :-)

Part of the compromise of me getting a new car, instead of something older, was that he had to be able to drive it in the rare occassion that I wouldn't be able to.
The AT is still a TON of fun, though I would have liked a MT better, I'm sure. The other thing is, when you deal with a lot of traffic to and from work every day, the AT is more relaxing when you're half awake.
Regardless, any FRS is a good FRS

If your husband can't drive stick, he probably REALLY enjoys Ellen, Womens College Basketball, and The View too.

But AT would be better if you're constantly stuck in bumper to bumper traffic.

I've never reset the MPG gauge on my FRS. I'm at 10,500 miles now. Life of the car l'm at 27.2 mpg. I NEVER granny this car. Surface roads l'm going at least 55 and l try to get there as quickly as possible. Hwy l'm doing minimum 80. Get there as fast as traffic allows. But when there's no chance of going any faster, just drop it in 6th and watch the MPG's rise.

When I first bought it I drove it like an S2k, always in the power-band (over 5k rpm.) But now I drive it in its first power band (under 3.5k). Sort of like driving a diesel VW. Like the 80's Golf that was lightweight and handled great but with a TDI instead of the old low power vw diesels. Its actually an enjoyable car driving really cruising in the unexpected torque low rpm range.

Its just a stop gap till I get the new factory flash loaded with my new Tatrix cable + ECUFlash. Then I'll be back to despising the torque dip and be forced into a header+tune.

I find it funny that the person who was being poked laughed, and some other genius had an issue with it.
