The Battle Royale Collection is now available here in the US.
Anyways here is a provoking thought & question: Why are the books so popular? Let me preface this by saying I thought the books were a wonderful read and recommended. But my thoughts are that the protagonist is a teenager & female emphasis on female. The reason I say this is that I've read numerous books similar to this with the only difference is the lead; in addition, my friends who recommended me to read these books were mostly female similar to Twilight Series. I have the Hunger Games on kindle.
I liked the books alot. They were some you just want to keep reading. The movie was also well done. Like most adaptions, some things were cut and others were added, but they kept the main themes and whatnot all there. I that it was fantastic and would even be tempted to see it again. |
