I would love a 993, but my old car infactuation is still with E30s currently. I finally got my $500 garage find running last weekend, and I ordered $400 worth of parts this week to hopefully get it reliably back on the road.

Ah, cool! I just don't love those old Bimmers like I do the Porsches. I need a higher-paying career path, a house, and a 993.

Don't we all. What I really need right now is a house with a bigger garage.

Building the engine slightly to accomplish this might even be cheaper than finding a 3.8L engine to throw in.Actually, wrt engine management, if you could get your hands on a GT3 ECU that might do the trick. |

I have a deposit in for the M2, so I really hope it comes true. I am second on the dealer's list. So I hope it comes true and is limited production like the 1.

I bet it's going to be relatively high volume, unless they're too close in price to the M3/4 or too much more expensive than the M235 which i hear is also a really nice car.

I love that dealerships are taking deposits for a car that BMW hasn't come close to confirming yet, haha. It won't be limited production like the 1M because the 2 series just started life unlike the 1 series which was ending its life when the 1M was thrown together with 135i and M3 pieces.

I was thinking face palm. But you said it better. Might as well go drop a deposit on that Turbo BRZ.

There have been a lot of leaks from BMW employees. Either way the m2 is rumored to release in 16 so that will be around the same time as when the 1 released relative to the cycle. Either way, I can let a little $ sit on a hold list to put me ahead. The guys taking delivery of i8's are all pretty happy they got their names on the lists early as well.

I will probably throw mine on the Dupont Registry in a few months and go for the slow sale. I like it, but I moved downtown and never drive it anymore!
