Judge the BRZ on its acceleration alone and you'll be disappointed.

With the way the 2013's front end looks, I think they will be even more rare...lol. I tease. But seriously, I'm not a domestic guy either obviously. But the styling of the 5.0 gets 5 stars from me. GC...not so much. I like the way the old GC looked. Warranty is good to some people, but I would imagine the car was engineered to at least survive 100+k miles like all cars are, so the warranty isn't that big of a deal to me compared to other manufactures. If you built a great car then you don't have to worry about some great warranty to cover you when it breaks. Not sure what you mean, Hardtop Mazda Miata starts at $27,540. Quote:
The interior is going to be severely overlook when I go to shift gears the first couple of times. Build quality is not there according to reviews. The manual trans pausing between gears...what's that all about? And really...25lbs still. No point in talking about something so minute. Last edited by Dragonitti; 03-24-2012 at 11:45 AM. |

Well I hope you know the same thing applies to all cars. And as far as the interior in the GC the quality is comparable to the BRZ in my eyes which makes sense since the GC start at 25k.

I wasn't referring to the idea of driving manual trans was going to distract me away from the interior. I was talking about what he says at 1:28 [u2b]EGVLRS2QPcE[/u2b] |

That's the first review that mentions the pause. But what I like about that review is the overall feeling he had with it(feel is what makes the FRS so good right). He gave the feel of it an A+. But still FRS/BRZ is different from it by a good amount.

I like better how he describes the look of the car. For me, he's spot on. I'm sorry but the GC is just not a good looking car. It seems to be trying to hard.

Sheesh this thread is going to get merged into the FRS/BRZ v GC thread soon ;-)
Dragonitti: Until you go drive all 3 cars and stop referring to videos, you're just talking nonsense and putting your biased guestimations over top of reviews and videos we can clearly make our own minds up on.

The GC is ugly and way more expensive, you have to get the 2.0 R-Spec to compare to the FR-S and Mustang V6 with the performance package.

Lets face it, Scion compromised the standard equipment in setting up this car in consideration in pricing. And then they overpriced it.
No bespoke No HIDS No push start with proximity Sure you don't need any of this, but for $25k it would have made the price easier to swallow. I think they are doomed if Subaru prices the BRZ premium at $25k. I am beginning to feel they should have just made it a Toyota 86 and not a Scion here in the States. This car is not going to save scion but it will sell more tC's. But hey lets wait for the reviews of the production units, maybe this car will be faster than the BRZ and weigh a lot less. Oh and i meant push start without the dualzone AC, like in the tC release 7.0. This would have been a nice compromise and made the FR-S unique over the bRZ premium. |
