They're cheap here because people generally are turned off by the weird rear quarter windows and crazy wing, plus nobody really has a clue what they are.

That car is a DeTomaso Mangusta (Italian for mongoose, 'Because they ate Cobras!' Ford power but not sure which motor. I want to say 351 but don't know enough about Ford to know whether it was a Windsor or Cleveland.)

And a bit of trivia about that Camaro. It says it's a Z/28 which means it had a Chevrolet *302* cubic in V8 in it. (Not a typo.)
Thanks for the info. Now, I know lil bit bout American Muscle car & Euro car

Another exotic Italian with the same idea that DeTomaso had. Hint: had a bizarre name.

Bonus points for engine maker.

Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada w Corvette V8 engine (400bhp/510nm). Made around 1966.

How did I figure it out? I was going to type "bizarre italian car name" on google... but my "Engrish" helped and start typing "bizzarr" and showed few options of words to choose from: Bizzarro, Bizzarrini, & etc and saw the Bizzarini p538 and started from there and found the Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada.

Hope that doesn't count as cheating.

Not cheating, the hint was there.

Anyone want to throw out some more JDM weirdness for a challenge?

... to have that big vent in the rear, it's got to have the engine back there - a kei car.

Started a full time job this week! So not much time to be discovering cars ... but I'll keep looking for cars I recognize.

ichitaka, happy belated 1000th post!

I used to think I wanted one of those after playing GT4. Seemed like a good combo, super-light, mid-engine, high-revving engine, cheap to import. Then a couple were imported to Vancouver area and I saw one in person. I never really understood how small the Kei cars are until then. The beat is about 2/3rds the length of a Civic hatchback and I'm 6'3" tall so... didn't happen.

I drove Beat before & I'm 5'10"~11" (maybe cuz I'm Japanese?). Also my friend sat in the seat & he's 6'2". Took him few mins to get into it, but it's possible.

1st gen Toyota Crown

I wanna play!

Might be easier than I think it might be, but I'm surprised how many peeps don't know about this car. I have a sneaky feeling that Ichitaka won't miss a beat (haha, pun) on this.

Bingo~ It's 1st Gen Toyota Crown.

and for that car, Toyota Corona~ I think, it's 4th gen... or 5th gen... from the bumper design, I'm guessing 5th.

It never even occurred to me to even TRY to sit in one. I think the thought of the sheer ridiculousness of me climbing in and out (with spectators gathering to watch the show) stopped me.

Heh.
