No they are not. They will make a lot of money on each one sold. They are just not going to sell 100k of these per year. No way that is going to happen now but if they bring out a roadster version and a turbo version, they just might.....get up to the 50k unit per year mark.

Just felt you were being totally unfair. You didn't need to exaggerate to make a point. Using the actual numbers would have done that fine.

Yes the FRS weights 600 lbs less than a base 2.0T. Some people will care and others won't. The FRS has 74 less hp and 124 less tq. Some people will care and others won't. It is all up to personal preference at that point.
That guy doesn't understand a thing you tell him and then he makes it look like people is picking on him and hates the FRS/BRZ. People need to look up facts before posting bullshit on the forums. I keep hearing people say under 2700 lbs and 2601 lbs for the FRS/BRZ which is not North American spec which is closer to 2,760 lbs with everything. The GC 2.0T base curb weight is 3,362 which is 600+ lbs(a little over a 1/4 of a ton) and not 800-1000 lbs like a Camaro instead. Honestly I think both the GC/FRS/BRZ is somewhat light for there sizes.

That's why Toybaru combined their resources.

Hm... a lot of members were thinking the price range of $20k~$22k, so seeing near $25k is surprise & hurting.

If you only see just the number then Zx6 are 2nd to bottom of the RWD list (in HP)... but we're just talking only in HP numbers. Result, members are saying "well w $25k I can buy brand new x that has more HP." or "I can buy used x w few extra mods w that price."

To certain level, I understand their point... but that's only number talk. I'll wait til I actually drive one and talk bout pros & cons

No I don't suck up to moderators and I don't give a damn if one of them bans me. I just appreciate when somebody can be level-headed on this forum full of bias-ness.

They also don't make for nearly as rigid a platform, which is why the engineers went for a trunk (see the engineer interviews elsewhere). Greater platform rigidity allows engineers more design and tuning leeway to extract maximum handling and road feel from the vehicle.

+1

Oh yeah...I forgot that...I am so happy that it is a coupe and it has the frameless windows.

For people wanting more power, just wait for the turbo in a few years or get the WRX\STI coupe. (poor mans GT-R)

3,362 light? Whatever floats your boat. And the BRZ weighs 2740lbs by the way. Yes, US spec.
