i've never hit it once by accident, i have the armrest so the button isn't even in my general area of the elbow hitting. further more, hitting the button while moving doesn't do anything. you wither have to hold it down for 5+ seconds or press it fully 3-4 times in a row for you to turn it off while moving.

Little akward looking in the shape/location of the old handle (maybe it is the lack of chrome) but, looks like it could have been oem+ which is great. I'm very curious to see how you configured this to work with the oem rod/cables. Any chance of a shot quickly before you put the door panel back on?

The perforated alcantara... drool
Adding any more throughout the car?

edit: nice to see modified door panels without crazy fiberglass speaker inclosures tacked onto them~

i'll try to snap some photos, jason made me 3 different size straps so we shall see what works best, but yes, my entire goal is to be oem+ not something that looks out of place. i know the door pull isn't for everyone, but i absolutely love it. i'm not into crazy audio, at most i might swap out components, but i HATE the look of sub boxes and etc. i also can't afford to lose any interior/trunk space. also, i think minimalistic, don't like clutter, so the simplest solution for me is always the best.

i don't know if i'll post a DYI because well, its kind of just me making what i think is cool and its all documented in this thread relatively well and etc, but if anyone has questions and genuinely wants to do this, or anything else i can help you out.

i'll keep everyone updated, i've got so much to do before spring.

the short list is:
finish interior
finish gauges and pod
repowder wheels + road force balance
repaint front bumper
make new front splitter
paint correct entire car
source new taillights
corner balance/get the car ready for hard driving
get front LCA installed with whiteline bushings
make rear diffuser

then maybe i'll be content for a little while with it

I would love to have the door strap instead of a handle , if it's cool with you Jive I'd love to order a setup of what Overland Designs fabbed up for that setup!

after much research and trying different things on my own, i've found, what i feel is the simplest solution to this mechanism/strap idea, figured i might as well use my thread to dump info incase others want to do the same.

one end will look around the ball/cable that pulls the latch, the other will be around the strap.
i just hope i have enough room to hook this up inside the actual door, which i think i have ample room.

here is what it looks like, its the PKT safety brake cable:

the reason this is ideal, is the clamps are small unlike mose bulky U-wire clamps, its a clean designs, and is easily adjustable with an allen key.

thanks! means a lot to me that people genuinely like what i'm doing.

once again if anyone has any questions or wants to do any or all of this, don't hesitate to contact me, or most importantly @Overland Designs.
