We have group met in Boerne a couple of times to drive to Medina but, seemed like it was easier to just all gather at one time in Medina cause some ppl would drive out from S.A. on Hwy 16 and others from IH10 to 46. A group might be nice when there are first timers going from ATX.

Also, a reminder for first timers - cell phone reception gets spotty to non-existant past Bandera/Medina. AT&T works in Leaky.

@autobrz Thanks for that info...hope I never need it but someday might get front bumper painted cause I never got a clear bra!

@blunova Yeah, figured Jack's is a pretty far drive from where you are. Your insurance or his insurance giving you a hard time? Tell the insurance he's lying! You're a better driver than that...you'd have near a dozen character witnesses on this forum who'd be glad to talk to that ins. adjuster about your driving skills!!!! (...most of us are "characters" so, better think twice on that maybe.)

Also I am totally pissed... the guy hit me from behind in a construction zone and he is claiming that I "rolled back into him," which is BS because it wasn't even on a hill. I thought the fact that he hit me from BEHIND would be enough to put him at fault, but insurance is giving me the runaround because his "story" is different from mine. Arrrgh I am so frustrated!!!
Why would you back into him with a new car. Who is there insurance provider? If his insurance doesn't claim responsibility, you can open the claim through your insurance and explain everything. Then they will just sue his insurance for the amount.

@Extreme86 His insurance. And yeah, I seriously wanted to be like "why don't you come on a Twisted Sisters run with me and then call me a bad driver!" Ha!!

@Ranatsu His insurance is USAA, and I'm with Geico. I'm surprised USAA is being such a pain because I always heard they were good. But I guess it's his word vs. mine. I will definitely consider opening a claim on my insurance, but my deductible is $500 and the repair is like $550. I'm worried if that for some reason I lose (since neither of us can really PROVE anything), I will have to pay the $500 and then my premium will go up. UGH. I swear, it's really not fair. I'm sitting there minding my own business, some a-hole hits me, and now i'm basically "guilty until proven innocent" and I have to deal with all this BS!!!

Did a-hole admit fault at the scene when you exchanged ins.? There's gotta be some stuff you can allege in argument / rebuttal to USAA.

So, he is now saying you rolled into him?
Was it like stop and go traffic...whereby he wasn't paying attention? Were you on an incline whereby he can make a claim you rolled backwards? Any police report??? Witnesses? Photos of accident scene to justify no hill and his claim is ludicrous. Sounds like some B.S. here. Time to raise some hell!!!

If you are 100% certain this is not your fault and USAA is trying to say it was your fault then GEICO needs to step in and fight for you to tell USAA that their insured is a liar. Call GEICO and speak to someone with authority (legal dept.) to get their advice.

The goal of an insurance adjuster is to close a claim but, also to deny claims... Don't let them take advantage of you without a fight. Sorry basstraps. We feel your pain...injustice is not good.

I'm selling my SRT Catback if anyone is on the market. No problems with it, Its off the car and ready to go.
I have to find something with a canister muffler to get rid of the rasp my Nameless Performance headers are giving me.

Nope. He had the same excuse of me "rolling back." It wasn't even on a hill so that is the stupidest excuse ever. And even on hills I don't roll back unless they are VERY steep! It was stop-and-go traffic in a construction zone. He probably saw my brake lights go off cause I was trying to creep up, and figured I was going and hit the gas. I had the cops come file a report, but they said they couldn't determine fault and that would be left up to the insurance. I will go back and take pics of the area, because it's totally stupid. Right now I have a 1-3 week wait while the insurance waits for the police report to come in.

Just makes me mad that I have to deal with all this BS!!! I feel like I'm "guilty until proven innocent," when HE hit ME from BEHIND!!! It is a small amount of damage, too... the 20 year old kid probably just doesn't want his insurance rates to go up. Too bad! Learn how to drive!!!

IN OTHER NEWS, who's excited for this Saturday???

Boerne Collision does great work as well. Had them repair my old tacoma after a lady shoved the bed up into my cab at 70... Hope it all gets sorted quick and painlessly.

Can we just start a thread, or is that against the rules?

Ya it would get messy, but better than nothing.

Its got to be more useful that the "spotted" sticky at the top that is for the whole state of TX.
