can't wait for some comparison tests. would love to see feedback after driving a 370z, a gen coupe, a miata, and maybe a veloster turbo and a gti back to back to back.

Definitely. Based on the other reviews (and how Inside Line's numbers are always a bit slower), low 6's is where it's at. But that skidpad number...yowza! This car can handle!

Yes, these numbers should go a long way to shutting up the endless "not enough performance to be a true sports car" whining...

motortrend 0-60 is the standard in the industry IMO.
MT, aren't they the ones that abuse the hell out of a car and do 4000rpm clutch drops? Or are they the ones that do a 3ft rollout for 0-60? Or is that another magazine.

Feeling like a 6 sec car is not the same thing as being one. I would like to cut corners to and give them the benefit of the doubt but last time I checked 59<60.

I always prefer to look to C&D 5-60 test as a real world 0-60 if your not interested in destroying your tranny. This car is going to be alot like my RX8, you can get a lower 0-60 with a true rev and clutch dump, but its going to cost you in the end.

Mid 6's is what I was expecting. Better tires and a broken in engine means your prolly in the low 6s with a decent driver willing to sacrifice their clutch. Looks like the weight is ~2740, so dump the trunk junk and your sub 2,700lb. Light weight wheels and better tires will do wonders for this car.

Yes they beat the piss out of it, but they do it consistently, so you can compare motortrend numbers across the board. It's nearly impossible to best them in the real world IMO.

Not sure I like the sound of that 1-2 shift from the reviewer.

"This transmission hates aggressive 1-2 shifts. Missed 2nd gear multiple times as a result."

Missing 2nd???

Wonder if a gate is coming and blocking it from entering so you can shift straight to third for fuel savings....

I wouldn't get too worked up, thats the first transmission compliant we've heard on the car and its likely just an isolated incident. Every article I've read to this point praised the transmission.
